Ever kill a TV show ?

Ever want to watch something but when you sit down you just can't sit through it ?

That's how I feel about Classic Trek and it pains me because I used to love it to death.

Perhaps the problem was I watched it to death.

Ever feel like this about a show ?

While I don't hate it, Seinfeld is one that I watched to death. There was a time that if it was on I was watching it. Now I tend to only watch it if something else is on. And even then if it's not one of the better episodes, I surf for a while.

Now some of the shows that my son watches. . .

I have had it up to here with iCarly, Big Time Rush and SpongeBob. I wsa able to handle Drake and Josh until about two months ago when we watched every single episode over a two day period (on Netflix). I was beginning to think the characters were real people.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

As much as I enjoy Big Bang Theory I"ve started to avoid watching it on TBS. I'm afraid of that very thing happening.

Years ago I watched Saved by the Bell so much I got to the point I no longer liked it; luckily, enough time has gone by to where I wouldnt mind seeing an episode or two once in awhile.

In terms of shows that I heard that were really good but when I sat down to watch just fell totally flat for me was The Big Bang Theory...(Am I the only one that doesn't like this show?) Weeds, and Spartacus.

I also cannot sit through an episode of Friends, Futurama, or 3rd Rock from the Sun but in those cases, I hated them when they originally aired.

I'm there with Seinfeld, it's been a good run. Usually if it came on after something I was watching, I'd linger, but it just got a touch much.

Same with Golden Girls, the wife and I started watching it ironically every day, it was fun at first and we kind of got into it. Then I realized, we weren't watching it ironically at all, we were just watching Golden Girls every day. It was The Facts of Life all over again.....

            99 percent of shows

Once I watch it, I rarely, and I do mean rarelly, ever watch it again.

Movies on the other hand, if I love it, expect multiple non stop viewings.

All sorts of shows, MASH, Seinfeld, and Cheers come immediately to mind. Eventually, I can watch them again with fondness.

I have seen every MASH episode multiple times, but I still love watching many of those.

I think it may be down to me liking martinis of late.

I don't know if I have ever watched someting to death but there are shows I used to love but now cannot sit through. Star Trek TNG is one. it's wierd but that show seems so much more dated to me than the original series does. I am actually watching TOS now as my wife got me S1 and S3 for Christmas. Really any of the sequel Trek shows I have no interest in watching any more

Put me on the Seinfeld list. Watched it way too much, then couldn't stand the sight of it, now I can handle it again in small doses. Same with Friends.

Seinfeld is probably the favorite show of mine where I can watch it over and over again.

Funny, my dad hated TV programing for the most part, he would only watch boxing (he hated all other sports), news, nature shows, and movies and documentaries.

But he did watch one show religiously, and it amazed our household.

That show was Seinfeld, to this day, I'm stll preplexed at this, but he loved it. Seinfeld was the only show where every single member of my family would sit down and watch together, lol.

Well, it's a funny thing because when it comes right down to it, I still like most of M*A*S*H but it is not a show I really want to watch anymore. but I bet someday, I will want to tackle it again. I have gone through phases where I avoid a show I still like and after I get some distance I want to see it again Dick Van Dyke, Twilight Zone, Bewitched and even Star Trek.

Nope, the shows I like, I like, and I still like them.
