He has the same mentality as Pete Rose. As soon as Rose finally told the truth, he expected to be welcomed back with open arms, despite all the people he called liars over the years.

But in many ways Pete Rose is completely different. He didn't try to and then successfully beat fellow competitors down so much that they left the sport. Pete Rose is still loved by lots of fans. And most sports writers believe he should be in the HOF simply because he was the greatest hitter of all time, and what he did as a manager had nothing to do with what he did as a player. Lance Armstrong is hated because he cheated as an active athlete, lied about it, bullied others, and continued to deny in the face of evidence. Pete Rose denied the evidence but did come clean. That's about all he did.

I think it goes too far to jail him. So many others are doping and getting off with lighter sentences. That sort'a makes an example of him. If you're going to set an example-jail all of them. Don't just single out 1 guy because he was the biggest jerk.

I think when he said he didn't feel like he was cheating so much as evening the playing field, that was an attitude that suggests everyone in the sport is doing it. And the thing is, if he was leading the pack and was taught how to cover it up, how many more are just like him? The fact that the governing body can not prove anything all but kills the sport. I mean it took someone to squeal to break this wide open. I'm not entirely sure why he did this interview, because he only seems to regret that he got caught and says as much. So why do the interview at all? To make the public hate you more? Perhaps he thinks being notorious will make him money off merchandise? Hard to know what he is thinking.

Greg LeMond is an example of a great non-cheating competitor, has been a relentless anti-doping and pro-testing advocate for decades now, and promplty became Armstrong's biggest number one public enemy. LeMond is also a philantropist and a charity champion of various causes, you guys should really read up on his life story, a true three time Tour de France champion.

Armstrong tried to ruin him, it is said that Armstrong blacklisted him, causing LeMond to lose millions in future endeavors and endorsements.

LeMond is also bicycle innovator, having designed several bikes throughout his career.

LeMond says Armstrong is not that talented of a cyclist, and that he's in fact mediocre at best, but obviously, Armstrong's PEDs, his cycling team, and his overall ruthlesness, made him into a multiple winner.
