I would love to see Alex Smith win a ring with the 49ers before he heads out for good. I think he deserves it.
Ravens-Niners SB might be the worst ratings match-up.....I can't imagine more of a snooze-fest.

The 4th&1 Pete Carroll couldn't resist showing his arrogance. I couldn't believe in a playoff game, on the road, only down 13-0 he didn't take the points. Never leave points on the board.

Right before the half they didn't have time to get the field goal team on because Carroll blew a timeout earlier in the drive.

      Beyond ****ed at Carroll today.

Pete Carroll is a lying weasel. He's caught on national tv telling the line judge to call timeout, then complains asking "who called timeout?"

I can't blame him for that. There's no guarantee you're going to score from the 1-yard line. ATL had already stopped them on 3rd-1 and 4th-1. You score when you have the opportunity and expect your D to hold a lead in the last 25 seconds. Except that same D had blown leads to Detroit, Miami, Chicago, Arizona, and and one other I'm missing.

Also, you never know if ATL is just going to let us waltz in so they are guaranteed to get the ball back.

Harbaugh vs Harbaugh would be huge.

The lowest rated Super Bowl would be Ravens vs Falcons.

A lot of talk on the radio today was that he ran down the side line like he was gonna call a time out to make the Falcons think that he was and what he said to the Ref was something like "I'm not calling a timeout here." and all the Ref heard was the "time-out" part and called it and that's why Carroll was so hot after he blew the whistle. Carroll hasn't come out and said that and he was probably best keeping his mouth shut anyway though. Also consider Cabbagepatch had a full 5 seconds when he kicked that 1st attempt. Yeah he missed it but there was this big delay and a hesitation on his part before he tried to kick it. What's not really being said though is that time out really cost them at the end when they got the ball back with 9 seconds left. If he had that extra time out, he can stop the clock twice and maybe get that time to run one more play and get Seattle closer than 65 yards.

Payton Manning is getting killed today too. He's something like 4 & 9 in cold weather games with 3 TDs and nine interceptions so the numbers are there to back-up the claims. That's not why Denver lost the game though. IN the first place they were lucky they got those two amazing special teams touchdowns otherwise this game probably wouldn't have been as close as it was in the first place. Not going for it with 31 seconds was really telling. Kind of ironic in in way since they probably would have done exactly the same thing if they had Tebow in that situation. I think the cold weather effect Manning and Denver knew that and that's why they oped for OT. They were right too because Manning eventually threw that pick they took a knee to avoid with 31 seconds left in the 4th. Despite all that, Bailey's the guy Denver should be blaming. He got beat all game. If Baltimore goes on to win the Super Bowl, their 2012-2013 Highlight real starts with Bailey blown play at the end with 35 seconds. Also all NFL teams will probably show that in a "what not to do" training session. For Denver, that's their Buckner play.

This week I'm 3-1. That puts me at 5-3 with my over all picks. Not great. I'm thinking the Pats are going to the Superbowl again. I think the 49er are gonna win their game in Atlanta but i'm hoping the Falcons can get by them and set up a New England/Atlanta Super Bowl.

Nobody is getting more stress out here in Denver than Fox for playing to conservatively. He had 30 seconds and two time outs left. People were calling into the radio station angry.

Of course for me any Superbowl in it with the Ravens is a good one!..lol
I would love to see a Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh

On a more serious note Im not one of these conspiracy type guy's but I do wonder sometimes if the NFL has a serious bias against certain teams being in the superbowl. If they want certian teams there because they have a large fanbase and more money behind them because of it, basically Bandwagon teams. Of course this all has to do with ratings and money. I mean wouldn't be that hard to buy off a ref I guess..hehe. Everyone here has seen games where penalty's are called for basically just playing football I don't care what team you are. Anyone else ever think about this?

NO. Once you jeopardize the integrity of the sport you have no sport. If the NFL is doing that deliberately they're taking a major chance that out of all involved, no one would ever talk about it. Ever. It would only take one disgruntled guy who feels he was left out to start the ball rolling on something like that. They would be doing the one thing that could wreck the sport and ruin it forever. They make so much money off these games it doesn't matter who's in it and eople are gonna watch the Super Bowl anyway no matter who's playing.

yea i was thinking 30 seconds for manning might as well be 5 minutes...No one manages the clock better..could'nt believe it when he kneeled

Well 3-1 in that round. I think Fox and Carrol made some huge mistakes in contributing to both teams losing. Carrol should have made it clear to the officials he was not calling a timeout.

Only thing that would be a bigger rating is when you finally get both Eli and Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl. Until then,I can live with a 9ers/Raven Super Bowl.
