    Ted

Just rented it...and I loved it...

No...this flick is NOT for the kiddies.

Yes...it had vulgar humor, some scenes were tasteless (for some, lol)...but hey...we all knew that going in...but it was funny, it had heart...and the special-effects were good...and wow...it made half a billion bucks worldwide...can't wait for the sequel, lol.

One of my favorite things about Ted?

Both Marky Mark & Ted (voiced by creator Seth McFarlane) are HUGE Flash Gordon 80s movie fanatics...and the scenes with now 58 years old Sam Jones himself...were worth the price of admission, good to see 80s Flash Gordon back on screen...quarterback of the New York Jets...take that Mark Sanchez...

          Hmmmm....

I've waited all my life to see Marky Mark get his shmenge kicked by a teddy bear! I liked the end; it's a typical "man being neutered" film.... but not quite.

Maybe it was my mood at the time, but I laughed maybe three times during this movie. I love Family Guy and, generally, Seth McFarlane but this was a slight letdown for me based on the hype. Now, I thought it was well made and had some heart, just not that funny. I only really laughed at the grocery store interviews and his interaction with the manager. The Sam Jones thing was mildly amusing.

My wife and I rented it/watched it (after the kid went to bed of course). I was cautiously optimistic based on the previews however I loved this movie. It's not one of those that I can watch over and over but I laughed way more than I thought I would.

Ted was the best movie I saw in all of 2012 and easily becoming one of my all-time favorite films. It's the kind of movie that will be quoted over and over. I've seen it 3 times already and it's still funny. I think it gets an unfair comparison to Family Guy too since the main aspect of comedy in Family Guy comes from pop-culture cut away scenes. Aside from the Saturday Night Fever bit, Ted really didn't really on that. The "S" on the floor, I don't really sound like Peter Griffin, white-trash names, are all classic. I actually didn't find any of it tasteless either. I found the humor very appropriate to the times. Wahlbergs reacting to things said to him in the movie are just as funny as what's being said. Seth MacFarlane has proven himself to be a comic genius and while I don't care about Oscars I really really want him to win the one that he's nominated for this year. I might even watch since he's the host. I think what he did with Ted was make this generations Anchorman. Flash Gordon is about one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life and yet I still found the way he fit it into the film to be perfect right down to casting Sam Jones as himself. I'm really hoping Seth does more movies because bottom line, the dude knows funny.

Oh man, I love 80s Flash Gordon, it's pure camp, like Barbarella, and you gotta love that Queen soundtrack, what better rock band to compliment campiness but with the kings of glam rock, Queen, lol.

Gee, the story is about a pot-smoking, hooker-banging, jobless teddy bear that hangs out with Mark Walberg...and if that’s not enough, it's rated R! Which means 17 years old or older can see it. Who the hell would think it was for kids?

The '**** You Thunder!' song was the funniest part me. And the fight between them was hilarious.

You'd be surprised how many idiot parents out there think Ted is for kids because of the teddy bear, and no, I'm not kidding, lol.
