What do you keep your thermostat set at?

Now that winter is really here, I say that because we got our first real snow on the ground. What do you keep your thermostat set at? Ours changes automatically if someone is or home or not , but on average it set at 64 degrees. And for that live in Florida and California just ignore this

72 in the winter. 78 in the summer. I absolutely cannot stand a cold house.

71 in the Winter, 80 in the Summer. Otherwise we'd have $300 bills every month.

70 in the winter when we're home, 67 when we're out. However, because of the differences between rooms, they vary probably from 65-73.

In summer we go for 78. On hot days the AC can't keep up, so it creeps to 81, meaning 81-85 between rooms. I spend a lot of the summer in my basement where it's probably 74.

This brings up a good point. I live in central Ohio, so we get all 4 seasons. I have a big sloping roof that faces more or less south. It's nice in the winter because it can capture some sun, but it's brutal in the summer. Any suggestions? That piece of roof is over a vaulted ceiling, and I don't know how good the insulation is. I've thought about solar panels, but I'm skeptical.

Edited to note that this is my 1000th post.

69 pretty much all the time. I prefer cold over hot.

Well, I don't really set it, I just turn it on when I need it, and then up to 70. I leave it off at night and when I'm at work.

I hardly use the heat at all. My wife used to call my apt the batcave when we first started dating. Even on the cold cold days, i have a fan in a window. I will admit that as i have gotten older my Mr. Freeze persona has changed a tad. On those bitter cold nights where it's zero with blowing winds i will at least close the window. Last winter we only turned the heat on twice.
