Cnn and the networks have been running it all morning.

Guy(s?) shot like 100 rounds in a hall. Principle, school psychologist, and vice go into the hall after hearing the shots and it killed two of them.

Its bad enough to begin with, It makes it worse by how young these kids are.

It gets worse. Clicked on the ABC live video link on Yahoo and the damn thing starts with a Toys R Us commercial. *** is wrong with people. Turn off the algorithum for goodness sake. Back in the "old days' it used to be when a particular tragedy occurred (i.e. airplane crash) you IMMEDIATELY pulled all the corresponding / relevant ads for 48 to 72 hours. Damn.

Y'know, living here in Oakland, where the crime rate is so high, I worry about stuff like this at my own school. I feel so bad for the families of those little kids.

I know it's too early to say, but I think the 24 hour coverage adds to these type of things. These psychos crave the attention and they know they'll get it.

Times like this make me want to chuck every piece of electronica I have, take the wife and kids and go live in the mountains, blissfully ignorant of such things.

I pray for the families who are suffering through this truly unimaginable travesty.
