At least this game was exciting but as for a World Series, unless your a Giants or Tigers fan, this one is gonna get lost in time. There wasn't a single lead change (or a tiger lead) until tonight. Leland said it best in the post game interview, "This was no contest." Only one question remains...does Melky get a ring I wonder? -
Giants win, Giants win!!
Came back from being 1 game away from losing to winning 7 IN A ROW!!
But still, hats off to the Tigers who made it an exciting, edge-of-your-seat game.

I'm sitting there scratching my head as why the Tigers just stood there and watch the ball roll. Sure, they want it to roll foul but there was a bigger chance it wouldn't.(and it did roll fair).Leave a comment:

The thing about baseball is that you don't have to watch it to enjoy it. The soundtrack of my summers is mostly made up of baseball over the radio and those numbers never get factored into anything.
From what I'm seeing of Game 1, the Giants have a lot of character and personality on their team. The Tigers have Cabrera and Justin Verlander and some big time high grade a wholes out in the bullpen that are hard to root for. I'm for rooting for the American League and all but the Giants are a way more likable group than the Tigers. I may think the Tigers are gonna win but I think I'm hoping the Giants pull off the miracle.Leave a comment:

Yeah I'm an AL fan so i'll be pulling for the Tigers. Looks like the Giants are still red hot though. It's 5-0 already.Leave a comment:

The funny thing about rest in the playoffs is that if the Tigers win tonight, "The Rest was just what they needed." If they lose, it's "They've had too much rest and they're rusty." Same with the "momentum" of the Giants Game 7 win over the Cards. If they win, they're coming off the momentum of the last game but if they lose, they did have enough time to rest. Same story every year just different teams. The cake needs to bake before you can see how it will turn out and that's the type of series this is.
So here's a breakdown of the two World Series Teams. Everyone has the Tigers running away with this but take a look and you'll see the teams are pretty closely matched. I think starting pitching for the Tigers is a huge advantage but the Giant bullpen has been killer too. For the Giants to win this one they have to beat Verlander at least once and it'll probably take them 7 games to win the whole thing. On the other side, I can see the Tigers wrapping this up in 5 if they cool off the Giants hot (and lucky) bats. All signs point to this being the Tigers year and I'm gonna pick them to come away the winners but as a baseball fan I'm just rooting for a Game 7.

I think Tigers take Game 1. They've had more time to rest. Could be wrong.Leave a comment:
