As a Reds fan, my hometown team couldn't have drawn a worse team to play. This team is dependent on the home run, and those won't happen in SanFran. I will go on record as stating the playoff schedule is ridiculous. There is no way the team with a better record has to go on the road for the first two games. The reality is the better record only is guaranteed ONE playoff game at home. That's unfair to the players and the respective cities whose economies are based on these games. That's just not for the Reds but all of baseball. The Yankees have to go to Baltimore for two games. If they end up dropping those, they have to go back and win three straight to advance.

I don't look for my team to do all that well, but Baker has been solid. When Votto went down he guided a bunch of players nobody has heard of to a 17-3 record. You can't do that by accident. He does make some head scratching decisions during the season, but overall is a good, honorable man. This playoff run will determine if he gets a new contract.

I never made my pics for the other series but I piced the Nats in 4 and the Yankees in 5. I went to the Game tonight. Baltimore is a great place to see game (I'm like 3 1/2 hours away) but I gotta say we sat by some real D-bag O's fans. I'm glad I didn't bring my son cause this guy was dropping F bombs on the Yankee fans all night. They finally removed him when he started ripping on 9-11 and making some really awful comments Many fans in the area made numerous complaints but they didn't escort him and his camouflaged (no joke) Mark Wieters jersey out till the 8th inning. Otherwise great atmosphere and a great game that the Yankees should have had with some timely hitting but it never came but that's baseball, Suzan......(only Yankee fans will get that reference there)

I was at the game on Sunday. I'm a Red Sox fan, but my little brother has been an Os fan since childhood, so we often go to Camden Yards together, especially when the Red Sox are in town. It meant a lot for him to go to a postseason game and I loved seeing how charged up the Os fans were... I've NEVER seen that before! Though it was cold, and there was a 2-1/2 hour rain delay (luckily, we had covered terrace seats), and the Os lost that night, it was one of the best times I ever had at a game.

I hope the Os make it to the ALCS, because we got seats again.

I was at the Cards/Nationals game last night myself with my 13 year old daughter. Good crowd all around.... It was a little cool but a fun game to watch in person.

Both Bay Area teams win their elimination games. So for the first time in forever none of the DLS series will end in a 3 and out. With the exception of one Reds game (and even that was close going into the 8th) there hasn't been a single blow out this post season. Great baseball so far.

If I had to pick two teams that could come back from 0-2 down in the DLS, it be the A's and Giant's. The A's are a much better home team than road team and I still have zero faith in the Reds. Of the two, I'd say SF has the better chance to take three in a row and I still think they're gonna win the series. I'm really shocked the Nat's dropped their game against St. Louis today and after watching the series I gotta say the Cardinals are the most boring team to watch of the eight remaining. I guess if your a Cards fan they're not but I'm not and it's like watching paint dry. if they were a flavor, they'd be vanilla...if they were a color, it'd be beige. I'm really hoping the Nationals get past them cause they're a captivating team and a great story for baaseball but I'm not sure if a team that young can come back and take two against a team that won it all last year.

Meanwhile the Yankees and O's go at it tonight. The O's have the best road record and the Yanks have the best home record so somethings gotta give. If Kuroda shows up tonight, the Yankees can take care of business easily but A-Rods gotta hit cause the big spot found him more than a few times already. He tagged the ball in the first inning of Game 2 and if Andino didn't make a great (lucky) catch we're probably looking at a 2-0 series instead of a 1-1 series. Seriously though with an 0 for 69 homerless streak A-Rod is becoming a liability out there. And for godsakes Doubleplay-Rod....if your gonna hit into a double play have the decency to strike out first!

Ha ha. A-Rod. The only player in history to end four playoff games by striking out.

Getting tired of watching the Cardinals year after year...and to think they finished 6 games behind the Braves in the standings and backed their way in. Hope the Reds take 'em out in the NLCS..need new blood in the WS. Giants don't have enough offense to win three in a row.

I'd like to see the Tigers/Reds or O's/Reds.

                      -Chris
