Oh my goodness...I love this car...
If my ride was ready, I might throw the owner a heads up just to test the waters...the Le Mans is not as pricey or sought after as its cousin, the GTO.
Oh shoot...he also listed it on eBay...opening bid of $5K...and no bids yet...
Not the greatest engine compartment in the world, and the trunk looks kinda sad...definitely needs some work, but still a beautiful ride...I love this car even though it's only a six banger...and on that big arse ride...it's not a ride meant for speed...but what a great cruiser nevertheless.
I'd probably not trade for it though, mine is going to be a lot more restored and pristine-looking...plus I just bought a brand new aftermarket Classic Auto Air A/C and a re manufactured Ford Thomspon steering pump kit, which also cost me an arm and a leg, lol.Last edited by Hector; Sep 25, '12, 3:16 AM.sigpicComment

I would take the Mustang. Classic muscle will keep appreciating. There is no replacement for vintage steel and there are less and less of them every day.
I do gotta say I would get some vintage rallys on there with some big tires rather than the kicks that are on it, but to each his own.sigpicComment

I agree with everyone, the Mustang is the way to go. The SX is just a car, the Stang is a piece of American auto history.Comment

Do your homework but that being said I'd take the classic muscle anyday of the week!!!
However his pictures don't show you any engine shots. The rest LOOKS clean and tight.
Good luck with whatever you choose bro!!!“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

Nissan Z car's have a following but nothing like mustangs. That said if back seat room is an issue in the z make sure that it isn't in the mustang. Also if you aren't used to an older engine you need to get used to a carberated engine - pumpung to start, letting it warm up and a 351 can be a gas hog, It will corner alot worse, acelleration might be alot slower than your Z, and brakes are softer unless they've been upgraded. But hector's right the upside of a muscle car is safe appriciation in price. we are at least 20 years from a point where a 90's car that was not limited produciton will have real collector value if they ever do (even most 80's cars haven't got value yet)Comment

I'm pretty much in agreement with everyone else. If the Mustang checks out and has the rear seat space you need, go for it.Comment
