The flashbacks and flashforwards definitely made it interesting.

I don't know if he is the final member or possibly Aaron. I'm counting 7 including Jin and Aaron 6 excluding Jin.

Every now and then I'll try to pick my favorite characters on the show. Then I'll pick my least favorite characters on the show. I'm still having trouble with that. I really liked Charlie. Hurley is one of my favorites. Sawyer used to make me laugh. But now he's been benched or sidelined...Mr. Eko was a really compelling character. So are Sun and Jin. So are the Adam and Eve couple.

Last night's episode was really touching as far as Sun and Jin are concerned. There really aren't that many Nick and Nora types on TV anymore. Like Hart to Hart, Remington Steele, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Moonlighting...seems like Lost has tried it but it didn't take.

      ***

I see no point or value in keeping Ben alive. Can somebody tell me why he's still breathing? If no one trusts what he says and just about everyone wants him dead, what use is he? Is Locke using him as a hostage?

after everything that Michael has done, what's his point? I get the whole "I'll do anything for my son, so we can be together and bond" - but he killed two people.

I'm beginning to wonder if I need to watch anymore for the finer points of detail or if I can just get the broad strokes in the final two, four or six hours that will be devoted to wrapping this whole things up.

I didn't notice it, but I guess the "death" date on Jin's grave was the date of the plane crash...so he DIDN'T get off the island and isn't one of the Oceanic Six. It may be part of the elaborate ruse the O6 have to do to convince everyone they are the ONLY survivors of the crash of Flight 815.

It still hasn't been explained in flash-forward time the repercussions of being a survivor of the crash when, to all intents and purposes, the general public believed that ALL of the passengers were killed on board, after the fake plane was originally discovered at the bottom of the ocean.

Ben's purpose will play out more and more. It seems strange why anyone would keep him alive but there are hints about something as they flashforward and he's there.

Ben is a great character. He's creepy and very interesting. His purpose is to play the part of the villain. If you kill off the villain there isn't much conflict left and then it's just a bunch of people stranded on an island.

My favorite character over the past two seasons is Juliette. I just adore her because she is a strong character who is torn between trying to get off that island, doing the right thing, and still very much under Ben's influence at times. She knows what he is capable of doing. Her presence and dynamic interaction with almost any character always shines. I have a feeling that she is eventually going to meet her demise and that is going to be gutwrenching when it happens.

Juliette's character is very intriguing and the actress playing her role is very good.

I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up winning an Emmy for the role...

Okay, okay, I get Ben is the villain. But give him something to do. Give him something to control. I don't see him having much to do other than play mind games. He doesn't have much power right now that I can see. He had enough resources to put together a fake plane and fake dead passengers.

So, what happens to the real survivors?

And if Jin didn't survive - is his body still on the island and the grave the one from Ben's fake plane?

I know, I know keep watching to find out...

As Charlie Brown would say - Aaaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!

Sometimes I wish they would would just shoot him and be done with it.

The only ace in his pocket right now is knowing things about the island that no one else knows (maybe a bluff, maybe not) but has said killing him would mean death for everyone.

Quite a few questions answered on last night's LOST. It was nice that they gave us a very clear rundown of what happened with Michael and Walt, rather than bits and pieces. But now the question I have is if the "Island" won't allow a person to commit suicide, does that mean that anybody on the Island can't be killed? If that's the case than just who is in that coffin from season 3 and how come some of the characters have died?

Especially characters like Naomi who was supposed to be this great wilderness survivalist (or something to that effect) who gets killed by Locke, only to get better and run away, climb a tree and then die. If I stub my toe I end up in bed for a week, never mind running off and climbing trees while mortally wounded.
