I read somewhere (TV Guide maybe?) where it hinted that Sayid is one of the Oceanic Six.

Was eveybody as creeped out as I was by that guy who visited Hurley pretending to be from Oceanic Airlines?

Well, technically Desmond isn't from the Oceanic flight, so he could be a 7th survivor ... if he lives. You never know what this show will pull

Respects to all the naysayers but, this show is one of the best to ever come along.

And now that it has been given a definate time to end, it will benefit by not having to pad the storyline with "fluff".

Of the "Oceanic six", we only know about Jack, Kate and now Hurley... with the possibility that one of the six was in the coffin.

I love the flash forward concept. It keeps you guessing where you are. You didn't know last night if it was a flash-forward or not, right up until Hurley said "I'm one of the Oceanic six!"

You're right, Charlie could have escaped his death. Not only could he have possibly swam out the portal window, but it seemed like he could just have easily shut the hatch door from the outside as the inside. But it seems like I remember Desmond making him believe that for the survivors to be rescued, he would have to die.

My first complaint: Why move it to Thursday Night? I seriously do not understand why all the networks believe that people ONLY watch TV on Thursdays. There are six other nights of the week with NOTHING ON! That being said...

Where was Michael in the premiere? His name appeared in the opening credits, yet I do not recall seeing him, not even in a flashback or foreshadow scene. It did appear that there were two people in "Jacob's shack" when Hurley came across it. It's possible that he was one of them.

I'm not sure I like the foreshadow scenes. They appear to be running in reverse as evidenced by Jack stating to Hurley that he might grow a beard. So the main portion of the show is going forward while the other scenes are headed in reverse. At some point the two are going to collide I suppose and we'll be back to Season 3's finale. This only makes things more confusing trying to put together all the pieces.

There's still alot that we don't know about "The Others" and now we have "New Others". How many different groups of people are they going to put onto this island before it becomes overload. We have the Dharma Group, The Others, Oceanic Crash Group, Penny's Research Group, Rousseau's group (whom she killed but why were they there to begin with), the New Others...etc etc etc. For a secret island there seems to be a lot of people who know about it. Even the alleged Rep from Oceanic Airlines who visited Hurley seems to know about it. Now they throw in the "Oceanic 6" group. There's far too many people to keep track of.

Overall I was thrilled with the return of my favorite show but I felt it left much to be desired for a premiere episode. Again I can only guess that this season is going to end right where season 3 ended with Jack trying to get back to the Island and Season 5 (the supposed final season) will be all about his eventual return. Season 4 looks like it's just going to be the filler in between, much like Season 2 went nowhere.

LOTS of questions after last night! Apparently Ben has been off-island recently...I'd always assumed the opposite since he seemed to have his underlings doing his dirty work nabbing people like Juliet to come to the island.

I thought last nite's show was excellent. A perfect example of the great writing on this show; four brand new characters that are instantly engaging and interesting.

When Locke was leading them through the jungle, I thought, "Hey wait a sec.. didn't he get shot point blank? He looks completely fine. What did I miss?", and not five seconds later Sawyer questions him about the exact same thing, and it's explained.

The biggest question that comes to my mind is where are all "the others". With all these people treking around the island you would think that some of Ben's people would be interested in what's going on or at least try to rescue him. They weren't all blown up at the beach. The eerie "Sheriff" woman seems like she has some authority over the other's group, she hasn't been seen since Juliette's hearing.

Best line from last night's episode by Locke "I saw Walt....and he was tall".

The biggest groaner - finding the skeleton of a polar bear in the desert with a Dharma emblem.

Only two episodes so far and the show is already all over the place.

I am starting to think that Dharma is some secret ancient society like the Masons.

Was it just my imagination or is the guy who first parachuted in (the seemingly naiive Physicist) the actor that played Doogie Houser with his hair colored?

I love the show. I always like the twists and turns and even my 13 year old son is hooked (the one night he is allowed to stay up until 10 pm on school nights).

My big annoyance is Ben. I realize they are trying to portray him as a completely manipulative genius but I was really at the point last night where Locke should have just pulled the trigger and be done with it. I don't know how many times during the past two seasons, he has come close to being executed only to say "I know something that is very important to your survival." He has evaded the issue long enough. At some point I would think one of the characters would say "I really don't care anymore" and just pull the trigger.

The only thing I found interesting about him anymore is I am starting to question whether or not his whole story about growing up on the island is true and if the picture that the new others had was a picture of him off the island, on the island, I don't know. Was it the computer that he was punching the code into...it was really unclear.

I am also getting annoyed by the haunted shack or whatever it is. I'm sure it will become more clear in future episodes but just seems corny right now.

Doogie Houser was played by Neil Patrick Harris and he's on a CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother". Not the same guy...

I didn't catch it but in last week's episode when Hurley peeks into the haunted shack, supposedly it was Jack's father Christian he saw in the rocking chair before someone (Locke?) spooked him at the window.

Oh Yeah, excellent episode. One of the best in a long time. I think last night's episode indirectly answered a lot of questions or at least theories.

Ben has in fact left the island on numerous occasions as evidenced by all his passports.

Michael is Ben's inside "man" on the freighter and the male voice on the phone. Which explains why his name appears in the opening credits.

The "rescue team" failed in their mission to get Ben as evidenced by the excellent cliffhanger with Siad.

The "rescue team" are the offspring of the original "Dharma" group and they are there to seak revenge on Ben. There were other children on the island when Ben was first brought there as a child. They more than likely knew about the Island, left when they got older, and know about how he ambushed the original scientists. That's why they brought the gas masks.

Clair should be one of the "Oceanic 6" due to Desmond's vision telling Charlie he needs to die so she can be rescued (via helicopter). It is strange that his visions have stopped however. I think she was probably the one in the coffin at the end of Season 3. Jack goes to her funeral because he discovers that she is his half-sister.

Jack's father is the 6th Oceanic Six survivor. He was only presumed dead but his name would have been on the flight's manifest. Jack also makes the statement at the end of Season 3 while talking to the hospital director to the effect of "get my father down here, and see if he's drunker than I am". I'm also thinking he's the "employer" of the woman Siad killed. Jack's father faked his own death using the "spider" venum which mimmicks death - as portrayed by Nicki and Paulo. The symptoms wore off after the plane crash, explaining why Jack believed he saw him on the island and heard him talking on the intercom while he was locked up in the aquarium by the others.

Those are my speculations at least.

                                Interesting theories.

I wonder whatever happened to the guy with the patch over his eye...the one who had the underwater explosive that caused Charlie to drown.

I don't think Jack's father was the employer of the woman Siad killed but an interesting theory. She appeared to be speaking German to him on the phone.

What I'm trying to figure out right now is why Siad went to Ben for help at the end of the episode. Is he not really so bad after all?

Who are the people following the Oceanic 6 around in the flashforward sequences and why are they attempting to kill them? To keep some secret about the island a permanant secret?

The entire wreckage of the plane was found unless it was just staged as some type of cover up as the helicopter pilot suggested by saying that the corpse of the pilot was not him because his wedding band was missing.

It's a very clever show....everytime I think I have something figured out, something else happens that adds a twist and turn everywhere.

Still by far the best show on tv right now in my opinion.
