She's the smallest of the 3 that comes to eat. I've only got spooked by them once I was bent over putting out the food and when I stood back up one was about 6 ft away from me. I just backed away from him, back towards the deck.When I was back to the house he step forward to eat. Whats Bill Cosby say "First you say, then you do it"

We have lots of coyotes also. However we find that our favorite is much more entertaining now that she is stuffed, mounted and displayed in our dormer window.

P.S. Yes, we do actually know that we are rednecks.

In Florida they can be legally hunted since they are an invasive species and do a lot of damage to livestock and native animals. You should really check with your state about laws concerning feeding dangerous animals before posting pics of you doing it.

Same here. If you have dogs, or your neighbors do, I would advise against feeding them as well. I don't know how many people I know (including my wife) who have lost pets to coyotes. We hear them howling in the night here sometimes, and I always make sure both of my dogs are in the house, if they sound like they are nearby.

That one coyote you feed probably means there is a pack nearby.

Around here the general consensus is, if you see a coyote in your yard...you shoot it.

Cool. Never had a coyote ( that I now of ) around here but I've had a moose in the driveway and deer in the backyard.

Another way to determine if you are a redneck,.....if your neighbors have had contests in which they use modded golf carts to chase down baby coyotes and then jump off their carts to bare-handed catch those coyotes for a quick photo op.

I love all animals, but I'd advise to stop feeding coyotes food, wild animals are not pets, and it disrupts their natural behaviour.

I know your heart is in the right place though.
