Yes - people will buy them for a few years to come but I don't think you could turn a profit. I bought one from my thrift store last year for $2 for a TV that had no cable box. That was half of electronics day.
So until the vast quantities of serviceable players diminishes, they will not be worth more than $5 each.
I suppose that 20 years from now when people realize they have there family video on VHS or a movie never released on DVD they might pay more -but they might opt to drop it at a place that coverts stuff.
I have seen the VHS tapes that were not released on DVD go for $20 - $30 -like the 70 live Spider-man. But most can be found for a buck at thrift and used media stores. I brought 15 sci fi VHS tapes to mego meet to GIVE away and still went home with 10.
