Odd that these didn't survive, and Pop-Tarts did, from the same company. I don't recall these at all, but they look better than Pop-Tarts.

        They tasted great...

Their biggest drawback was many times they'd get stuck in the toaster because they were extra fat.

If you guys will remember, years ago toaster slots were skinnier ... It was unheard of to toast a half a begal in the toaster etc.

Toaster slots were barely as wide to allow a slice of bread.

Maybe that's why they failed ?

That could be...I remember sometimes when my brother put them in the toaster, a piece would break off as you were taking it out. I preferred mine just out of the package. I remember when they sold unfrosted Pop-Tarts, my brother's fave way to eat them was w/ butter on the top, right out of the toaster. It gave the crust a kind of fresh baked pie taste...yummy!

I do remember these and that they were waaaay better than a Pop-Tart!!! I'm actually surprised Kellogg's hasn't thought about rebooting them yet....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Off brand Pop Tarts are better because they're thicker. Kellogg's Pop Tarts are the worst Pop Tarts on the market.

They still sell unfrosted Pop-Tarts. They're just somewhat harder to find now compared to years ago. My brother just finished going through a box of unfrosted brown sugar & cinnamon flavor ones. He bought them only a couple of weeks ago.

I never saw those before, but they look pretty good. I was a huge Pop-Tarts fiend when I was a kid, it was one of my favourite foods.
