    Anybody remember older Poptarts ?

Was talking to somebody and trying to explain the Poptarts I used to like in the 70's.

I can't find any info on them now.

They were twice as thick as a normal Poptart and were actually a long tube of dough rolled up in an oval shape.

The flavor I liked had a pink coating

    This was NOT toaster strudel.

    Anybody remember these ?

Did they taste different from a regular Pop tart? It looks very filling.

Comparing Danish Go-Rounds to Pop Tarts is like comparing Filet Mignon to Salisbury steak.

I've never seen those before. Were they regional?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yep, these were a favorite in our house when I was a kid. My brother's fave was Brown Sugar Cinnamon, mine was Strawberry. I remember eating these while watching "It Takes A Thief". BTW...here's the commercial:

"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I don't remember these. Pop-tarts were a staple in my household.

                          I would eat that.

I would eat it all up.

I wonder who determines when something like this stops production. They look very good.
