What's the Longest you worked ?

I just worked like 22&1/2 Hours on this Road Closure.
Probably closer to 24 hours, once you count my drive time ...., and sitting in the parking lot waiting for work to start. It was crazy nutty driving home on the FreeWay in the oposite direction that I usally am driving the other way to work at the same exzact time pretty much. After 12hours, everything ran to Double time, and the money that was made, was absoultely insaine. I could take the rest of the week off, and still my paycheck would be bigger than working all week .... + my company is paying for today, a complete 8 hour shift, for helping out so long last night and yesterday.

I previousy record was like 18&1/2 hours a couple of years back.

Driving home was the hardest part.
I live around 55 miles away from work ....
Had to have the raido on high, and the window's down. I seriously caught myself dosing and noding here and there. But I made it.

I work as a sound engineer and some of my production days, especially for festivals, are full on insane.
FILO - first in last out, at most events. Sometimes the staging folks stay a little later, but they are only there for setup and teardown, so they are nice and fresh. There is one gig I do every year in the fall that I get up at 6am to get to and come home the next day at about 7. There is a moment of clarity somewhere around the 20th hour or so, but the drive home after all the gear is packed and loaded is the toughest part. Oddly enough, I usually have to unwind for about an hour before I can actually get into bed. That is cool that your company is giving you an additional day of comp time.

I worked a 25 hour stretch one time. When we first started the business I work for (17 years ago) I was the only employee. I started the Monday after Labor Day and the rest of the year was crazy. 16 hour days were normal. I worked Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's day. It was nuts. Oh, to be young again.

I think the longest I ever worked was 18+ hours straight. We filmed an informercial for a small audio/video store. I got to the store at noon on Sunday. The store closed at 3 and we had to be out by 8 am the next morning. I think we wrapped around 7am.
        Fresh, not from concentrate.

While in the Navy I would work 33 hours or so preparing to load a submarine onto a drydoc. Took alot of prep before and after loading.

To be fair there was some waiting time. So I got a little sleep here and a little sleep there. Probably got about 10 hours of sleep the whole time.

                  Dont miss it....

They are really re-building Downtown Seattle right now ..., next the Space Needle...
Then Over on Aurora, they have Road Widenings...., Paving, and Lane Changes. Right now behind Century Link Field...., you got the calm before the storm with the Viaduct project...., wait until that kicks in for real.

                            I was in Kenmore ...

Worked for a welding contractor in the late 80s that took on a "weekend" job of installing a new chain conveyor in a beef processing plant.I forgot the exact name of the line but it carried the half slabs of beef from the cooler onto the processing floor. We worked 18 hours the first day, went home got 4 hours sleep, then worked another 24 hours straight and finished it about 8:00 Monday morning. The workers start at 7:00 so that last hour was real madhouse.I was one of the walking dead after that job, luckily it was only a fifteen minute drive home.
