              Even though he was in a wheelchair at the end, he just kept doing conventions and signings, and he loved to meet the fans. He and Harryhausen would always be convention buddies, signing shoulder to shoulder.
              I got three books signed at one of his appearances about five years back. His mind was still as sharp as ever.

                  This was heart-wrenching news to me. They showed it on the news, with a video clip of one of his last interviews. This year I was lucky enough to find a copy of his "Halloween Tree" Special on VHS. I can remember when ever I ran across his work in what ever venue, Readers Digest to Playboy. I had to sit and read it thoroughly. I recently found an old copy of Dandelion Wine. I'am going to have to make reading that priority!
