    What a day!!!

Well there are many things in my life that I like to accomplish and knocked two off my list yesterday.

One getting my Hulk #181 and Giant sized X-MEN #1 signed by Len Wein

Second meeting a Legend and also signing my Hulk #181,Giant sized X-MEN #1,Captain America #100,and Amazing Spiderman#. After signing went straight to the CGC booth!

I was thinking the same thing, I think the grading goes down and the value as well

That is eight kinds of awesome. It's great you got to meet true industry legends. I hope to one day have that opportunity with both George Perez and Alex Ross. I tried with John Byrne, but he poked me in the eye with a sharpie...freakin restraining orders.

Not sure that'll be true in this case, since he then hit the CGC booth. I'm assuming they authenticated the sigs and then slabbed the books, so there's no real question of who signed 'em. Maybe CGC has stipulated that an authenticated sig doesn't drop a book's grade, though collectors are free to disagree. I dunno.

Please tell me you DIDN"T get them to sign on the cover. That's the one thing I, to this day, don't understand. Especially in the case of a writer of a comic book. I can sort of understand it if Trimpe signed the cover, because he did the cover... but I just don't understand it when a writer, or in the case of Stan Lee, an Editor In Chief signing the cover. BTW, congrats on getting Len to sign the book. Herb Trimpe should be easy to get to sign...and he is one of the nicest people to get to talk to. Talked to him at the last show in Manhattan for about a half hour about Baseball. If you're gonna go the whole route in getting autographs of that Hulk 181, you may want to get Romita Sr. to autograph it too. He was the co creator of the look of Wolverine. There's a sketch in the book Grail Pages that is the first design of Wolverine. I can tell you it's fun and frustrating trying to get a book signed by all involved. Took me more than 15 years to get my X-Men 94 signed by all involved. Good Luck.

I am not really a comic book guy so maybe that is why I dont see the big deal where it is singed the cover the insides, I would prefer cover that way when displayed you can see the signatures, if it is inside your not going to display the book open. Again i am not a comic book guy really so that is why to me its no biggie
