I loved old silver K-Mart moon boots . We always played tackle football in the alley when it showed more than a few inches, and I don't know how many times someone tackled my moon boot and I stepped out of it and kept running.

I still wear a pair today when the winter comes in and I have to clear off the driveway. They slowly started to let "water" in so I dosed them with flex seal and fixed that problem. Of course now they lost their cool color and design, but at least I can still wear them knowing my feet wont get wet

My daughter does own a pair of Uggs. They're expensive as anything but they have really held up well and she says they're super comfortable (she will wear them almost anytime of year unless it's really hot out.)
