Michael Shannon is playing Zod in "Man of Steel". So he's in comic movie, at least.
I liked Dick Tracy, but I do feel Madonna is just an anachronism in it. You can tell she's just in it because she was Beatty's conquest du jour.
I remember all of the merchandise tie-ins, etc. Disney was really hoping this would blow up like Batman '89. Not so much.

That's Michael Shannon. Awesome actor. He's the aspergers guy in Revolutionalry Road, The FBI Agent in Boardwalk Empire, and he's in a fantastic movie called Take Shelter. He's like 6'7 and always plays a bit of a hard arse too. Most actors I want to go away for awhile but he's one of those actors that I wish would make more movies. Dick Tracy would be perfect.Last edited by kennermike; May 14, '12, 12:29 PM.Comment

I thought the makeup was pretty awesome on the bad guys in this movie and the costumes and sets were pretty neat too. Warren Beatty and Modonna were definitely poor choices but what I found more disappointing was the focus on the little kid and love interests (booooringgg). Would have been way cooler with more gangster shootouts and less syrupy sweet scenes involving the kid(as if Warren Beatty has a paternal bone in his body). I also vividly remember reading the backs of Life Cereal boxes plugging the movie during breakfast for quite a while as it was out.Last edited by Funkyterrance; May 14, '12, 12:46 PM.Comment

I saw the Midnite showing, i loved the color of it. They didn't use the Villians right and Beatty and Madonna were just ok. But it was fun to watch."Hang on Lady... We go for a RIDE!" - Shorty to Willie Scott.Best movie line from Indiana Jones & the Temple Of DoomComment

Yeah. As a lifelong fan of the comic I was disappointed in the film because of stuff like this. The movie had none of the brutality or hardness of the comic.
