I lived for them, and still have a few of the books. Peanuts, Star Trek, dinosaurs......I always had a hard time deciding which books to buy on my limited budget.

My son still brings home a form every few weeks and we do order a few.

When I was a kid, we didn't have book fairs, we had R.I.F (Reading is Fundamental). You could get 2 books for free. I didn't hear about book fairs, until I was teaching at Gerber Children's Center and they had one. When I used to teach after school care, I used to go w/ the kids to the book fair at their school.

I used to order from the Arrow Book Club, (a division of Scholastic) when I was a kid. And yeah, you weren't cool if you didn't order Dynamite. As a kid, I had maybe 5 issues. Now I have about 30. I got them all for free. And when I used to teach after school, I used to use some of the puzzle and projects. Heck, we had a Disco Party based on one of those issues. I even make a copy of the record cake topper. The kids loved it!
