    Ham for Easter?!? Meh.

It used to be leg of lamb at my house with spaghetti, (or some pasta), appetizer. My mom knew how to cook it. It tasted good but it it sought a quick exit from our digestive systems by the end of the day. Don't understand why. We loved it but it was just too exotic a meal for us I guess. After a few short years it became turkey-just like on X-Mas day. Tho on some alternate years Mom may have made pork chops or pork roast.

Ham . . . burgers! having the whole family over and it's gonna be burgers and brats on the grill.

I'm having whatever kind of ham fits in my belly. Most likely spiral-cut. My wife and daughter don't like ham, so I only have it on holidays or at other people's homes. Thankfully, my parents are hosting, so it's gonna be a ham good time on Easter Sunday.

I also prefer Turkey, but it has always been traditional in both my wife and my family to have Turkey on Thanksgiving and Ham on Easter. We normally spend Easter with relatives but with the kids getting older; we are just going to stay home. My wife asked if I wanted Lamb....not a huge Lamb fan so told her she really doesn't need to go out her way. We'll probably just go with a basic ham (nothing fancy) along with some traditional sides.

I've never liked ham as a main course, but I do like it in sandwiches, w/ swiss cheese. Since I live alone now, I don't really do anything special for Easter. I may make some meat loaf on Sunday, or maybe steak.

We are having ham that looks and tastes just like boiled crawfish.

Usually we eat canned ham with 2-3 sides. But we have been known to switch it up and have grilled hamburgers instead.

Although I like ham, I'm solo this weekend, so no point in cooking up huge meal for just me. Gotta watch the belly.

For cooks on the Museum, how do you get the ham to have a nice thick glazy "crust" ?

                        Glaze alone wont make crust

I can't eat ham. It kicks the daylights out of my stomach.

I keep inviting William Shatner. He's definitely my all time favorite ham
Of all the souls I have encountered his was the most...human.
