It's the law of averages, you're just bound to run into those people sooner or latter. I just inform anybody who threatens or makes unacceptable comments that I've forwarded their messages/emails to eBay and that'll they are being blocked. Only ever had to block like 5 people since 2003 though. -
I got my first neutral feedback because I sold an ice bucket and described it as burnt orange. When I emailed the buyer as to why he left it, he said the ice bucket was more of a red to him.

Almost right after I got my first negative feedback when I sold a Pottery Barn Star Wars sheet. I mentioned in the description that it fit my queen sized bed really snug but that could be because I have a Sleep Number bed with a pillow top mattress. So someone else bought it and it didn't fit their bed either. They never contacted me for a refund or anything, they just blamed me and left a negative.

I sent both buyers a retraction form and haven't heard from either. The one negative is driving me nuts!Last edited by spacecaps; Mar 14, '12, 7:40 PM."Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment

I still love the woman who told me everything was great, then marked me off on shipping time cause the post office was slow. I shipped her item 2 hours after she paid. I was so ticked, guess i still haven't gotten over it eitherComment

Mostly good results so far. Ripped off a couple times, one comic seller gave me grief and 4 negatives because my M.O. got to him a day or two late, and he never sent the items. One autograph seller sent me a wrong photonand made up for it by sending me another he printed at a walgreens 2 days before he sent it to me, it was supposed to be authentic of 4 girls signatures. There was no way he got it printed and those 4 were all in NY and he had them sign it in 2 days. i reported him quickly.
Is anyone else annoyed by Traderbynature who piecemeals all of his Mego items (about 600) and them lists them every day or every other day? i think he used to list them once a week and only run for one day. now they still only run for a day or two but then get relisted right away. i hate looking thru his stuff almost every day just to see the new items i want to see."Hang on Lady... At least it's not like the old days, when you would get threatening messages from the people bidding against you.
"So you're the guy who stole that figure from me!!!", from someone I outbid and was bidding against once again for another figure....

I definitely remember that. I used to snipe before there were sniping services or there was even a term for it. Bidders would send me emails all the time telling me what a jerk I was bidding at the last second and not giving them a chance to make another bid."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

The problem may have gotten worse because of the economy, people are money thirsty. The stakes are higher now. Probably see a lot of rip offs going on and at the same time, a lot of great collections going up for sale.Last edited by Audiorij; Mar 15, '12, 10:37 AM.Comment

So far my worst experiences have been with buyers who hastily purchased BIN items from me, only to find it's not exactly what they thought, or didn't notice I'm selling from Canada.
I've made some mistakes copy/pasting from my own similar auctions such as Monster in my Pocket.
I had a BIN buyer who pointed out that the colour I listed on the item was wrong, after he purchased it, I guaranteed it was the same color of the one pictured (which is what he wanted) not the colour stated in listing. He demanded that I cancel his purchase and re-list it, with correct colour listed in auction title. So I did, and somebody else snagged the BIN with-in 10 minutes of relisting.
The guy was furious and demanded that I cancel that sale and re-list only for him. I declined, blocked him after he sent about 5-6 threatening messages. Sometimes you can't please everybody even when you try.Comment

A few years ago, I bought a figure from a seller once that had a fairly permanent store on ebay. After a couple of WEEKS, I got an email from her informing me that she didn't have the figure, after all, and that she was refunding my money. She didn't offer an apology like "sorry I didn't have it" or "gee, sorry for taking so long to let you know what's going on." So, I felt justified in leaving her neutral feedback (felt I was being very generous) with a simple comment stating that it took 2 weeks to tell me that the figure wasn't even available. She went ballistic.... gave me scathing negative feedback as a buyer (my first negative, ever) and sent me a nasty e-mail laced with expletives. I couldn't believe it! I just don't know what to do with people like that. Your first reaction is to figure out some way to retaliate... and then after having a bit of time to cool down, you realize that it must really suck to be them and they are already punishing themselves... having to move through life with all that pent up bitterness.Last edited by Delusional B; Mar 15, '12, 10:50 AM.Comment
