Jack Sparrow jokes aside, that look is historically accurate for a shaman. Not sure how audiences will relate to it, though. We also don't know if he has that look for the entire movie.

Honestly I did not want a TV imitation....I would have laughed and thought it would be rubbish. I want something new accurate and cool.....

Same here....one actor I really like and from co-workers who have worked with him directly say he is one of few celebrities who is very down to earth, grateful, and just an all around nice guy.

I hadn't been following this one all that close so I was a bit taken aback that Depp is playing Tonto and not the Lone Ranger. How 'bout dem apples? See kids assumptions are bad.

Thinking about it with this new found information I gotta say I'm much more interested in seeing it now. I do hope that they play it straight though.

Depp is a fantastic character actor, so I am sure he will do Tonto justice. I am less familiar with the actor playing the Lone Ranger and am not a fan of the black suit he is wearing, but I will hold my judgement.
