    You know it's bad when...

The Governor closes state offices at noon; All public and private schools close at 1 PM, and U of L cancels all classes as well. The reason? Massive storms coming in that have high potential for destruction. Even the Storm Chasers from the Discovery Channel and the Weather Channel anchors are setting up shop in Louisville today. They say we are the bulls eye. Funny how we only get national attention when we might get wiped from the map?
Well, the storms are suppose to start firing up after 2 PM. But as it gets dark that's when the dangerous squall lines come in. Here's hoping I will be online sometime tonight reporting they were wrong. For all of our Mego friends who could get hit by storms today and/or tonight, please stay safe.

My brother in law was just narrowly missed by a tornado from the storms in MO. He sent me a picture of a metal bass fishing boat wrapped around a tree across the street from his house.

ride out the wild storm and stay safe.

Yep - stay safe everybody. I hope I don't get hit too hard as I have an iffy roof.

They just reported a tornado 300 yards wide touching down north of Evansville, Indiana. Sweet Lord. I guess it's going to get interesting any place where this storm strikes.

Yep, here in east TN the schools have let out and most things are closing up in anticipation of the storms headed this way.

Schools let out here at 1:30. Even UK let out early in Lexington, which is unheard of.

A tornado is down in Clark County Indiana. The tornado is massive. Reported to be a quarter to half mile wide and still on the ground. One is also down near Memphis, Tennessee. I hope anyone in Ky, Illinois, Indiana, or Tennessee are watching their local news station.

I can not imagine experiencing such severe weather and i thought 101mph winds were bad enough over here,we had alot of trees to sort out,it looked like a meteor ripped through one part.I would hate to to think what a Tornado could do.

                      Hope you all stay safe.

My wife and kids are home and we have a basement. We have a hallway shelter here at work so we should be okay. Thanks for asking!

We live in a quad-level, so we'll be packing into the basement here in about another 35 minutes. Everything is set up and ready. I'm watching all of these storms around us and it's just jaw dropping. That storm in Clark county literally pealed back asphalt on the freeway. That tornado has been on the ground over 30 minutes folks. It's getting nuts out there.
