Nice Transformers haul. Many of them look (near) or complete.

-Picked up an absolutely massive lot of megablok Pirates of the Caribbean/Pyrates/Dragons & Knights sets loose (tons of mini figs and dragons and sea monsters, ships, playsets). It's no Lego Star Wars, but a deal for $10 as there's tons of little ones in the family going through pirates and dragons phases.

-Lot of Speak and Spell, Speak and Read, Speak and Math (All Working), seems these has become popular on eBay as people are mod-ing them for weird electro sounds. $3 each. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wx-SBQNT-P0

-Some Harry Potter boxed Lego sets from 2001 for $5

-More loose Lego (cowboys, dragon and knights, polar expedition and tons of actual block pieces, about 10 pounds), didn't realize I'd picked up so much Lego until typing this out. $4 for a big bag of it.

-Some kind of rare Sailor Moon clock that's sold for $100 on ebay. Works. $3 Also a big lot of Sailor Moon party supplies for $2

-A lot of carded Dragonball Z figures off of Kajiji for a few bucks.

-A boxed Baron Karza and a box of Starcom spaceships and figures. Only paid $50 for the lot and sold the Starcom for $112.

-Some Holt Howard (50's ceramic) Christmas candleholders that I bought for $2 and sold for $40.

-A Strawberry Shortcake table lamp I bought for $6 and sold for $50.

-Probably a ton more little things. Some jem dolls, some Monster High dolls, assorted cartoon bed sheets, t-shirts etc

Where did you find all the Transformer stuff and what did to pay for it? You may have the find of the year.

Today was very good. There was not much going on at all, so I stopped at a "moving sale" advertised on Craigslist. The guy didn't seem to have much. Some interesting records, tons of recording studio stuff, etc.

Then I noticed he had a sign "ask about my comics". He has thousands, including a ton of Silver Age stuff. I got a 10 cents Green Lantern (#9), 1st New Gods (Been wanting that book) and a few others. The condition of them are pretty good, despite the musty smell that I am trying to air out now.

Anyway, he was telling me about his massive Beatles collection. As we were leaving, his son pulled out a box filled with a lot of paper stuff (glossy photos, magazines, booklets) and on top was a 1968 Ringo Starr Yellow Submarine bank. I bought it for $2, my dad bought the rest of the box for $10.

That bank I found out is worth a LOT of dough. Inside the box at the bottom was an original Rubber Soul promo poster worth a lot. Lot of Wings Fan Club stuff too, including what I think is a signed picture. There was an autographed David Peel picture as well.

I've been too busy with work and a new baby to really be hitting the thrifts and fleas like before, but I've still found some cool things lately.

-Picked up a mint copy of a folk psych LP by a band called The Folklords the other day for a buck. Flipped it on eBay for $250.
-Some Rubens/Relpo baby bear planters (about 5 different ones). eBay prices on these are all over the place, I've sold them in the past for $100-$300, so hopefully these do well for me.
-A bag of elf kneehuggers, these always bring good money during the Christmas season, but I'm keeping these guys for the nostalgic value.
-A rubber faced monkey by Rushton, same as above, it's a keeper even though they've become really collectible
-two sets of Sailor Moon gashapon (vending machine toys), I bought series one and two complete for $6 total, I see series one sells for around $60 and series two sells for upwards of $200, but although I've got a ton of watchers, nobody's bidding on them yet.
-a bunch of nude Jem and the Holograms dolls for a buck each.
-Weebles treehouse (complete) for a quarter.

Unfortunately, not a ton of stuff for my own collection.

I still regret not getting that Toy Biz Joker Van. They sat at Big Lots for a long time, and I just kept waffling. And one day...they were gone. Sigh.

Picked this up from my brother's cluttered garage, not actually mego scale but I just totally fell over when I found it.
