That IS some pretty neat stuff there. The tin wind-ups/battery and the guns are pretty cool!

When stuff like this happens, it sucks the fun and enjoyment right out of it and I am not waking up crack of dawn every weekend to get ****ed off and deal with the nonsense.

I try to be respectful and end up losing. He told me the sale started at 11:00AM, so from 10:45 I sat in the car, not at the end of his drive way or anything. Guy seemed like the type who didn't like early birds, so I tried to be as cool as I could.
I can understand why you get mad. I've only had that happen twice, and luckily it was for stuff I didn't really care about. But if was for something I really wanted, I'd be livid for a few days at least. It's hard to find the stuff we really dig locally, and it's totally uncool when we're respectful and playing by the rules, then some ****** comes along using family members like barricades or swoop in early and buy everything. It can be quite helplessly frustrating.
Just try and think about the times when you got some super-sweet scores and mabye it'll take the sting off a little.

You know, I see comic collections posted on Craigs (or at g-sales) alot around here, but I'm not a comic collector so I don't bother. Who knows if that stuff would have something someone here would really want. We should start a Craigs section in the Trade subforum to tag-team or something...

I still haven't done the proper research on this one. Could you school me real quick on what markings it needs to have? I thought it was a later one than a #3. The tiny variants on these early barbies give me a headache!

You aren't kidding. For a guy that's been into toys as long as I have you'd think I would have gotten a grasp on it by now. I've actually had a few nice Barbie hits and all by dumb luck. I can tell the difference between the remakes but I'm sure I've passed on some that were higher priced than my normal comfort zone that were steals.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I really cannot help. I found one a few months ago. It sold for $175 and it was in worst condition than yours. I would just study "#3 ponytail barbie". Mine was dated 1963 on her butt. I didn't know it was a #3PT, others on ebay told me.

I had a new experience today; I went to an auction and instead of coming home broke, I actually made money! This was a small contry auction just down the road. There were maybe 30 people tops. About half way through, I got my first deal, a nice set of hole-in-the-noggin lawn darts for a whole whopping dollar. I was still distracted by my new lawn darts when I almost missed that a table of compound bows was being bid on, or I should say, not being bid on. The price went down, down and down, until I took the lowest bid at $2.00. I ended up with four bows, two being fairly decent and two cheap, but still useable ones. With my arms full, I stared walking towards home. A guy arriving stopped me and bought one of the bows for $25.00. So, I ended up with three bows, lawn darts and $22 extra dollars in my pocket!

Great deal!!! I loved my lawn darts as a kid! If you still are thinking of selling one of the bows please let me know. My son just started archery and he is really loving it, has to borrow my dads bow. Love to get him one.

Pretty stoked to grab this in time for Halloween. It's a hoot. Pretty scarce and in remarkably wonderful condition!

                              Random garage sale stop.

Got it for $1.00. Currently cleaning it up for sale/trade.

After taking our Grams grocery shopping and to a doctor appointment , my sister and I had to unwind with a stop at a thrift store. I bought a fondue fork stand, a 1969 Connect game (I already have one, but I think this one needs to be framed up and used as a decoration), a 1969 Mother's Helper game, a couple ugly trophies (to be hot glued, painted and used a gag gifts), and a set of rocking glasses. As usual, Hubby was so not impressed with my treasures.
