I sold all my Megos (except the Superman/Supergirl ones)...and started concentrating in just Superman stuff...but quickly realized that's even more non-ending...lol.

I bought tons of Star Trek Playmates stuff (since sold)...also tons of collectors plates (still have)...I just can't display that stuff...they are all in storage...will be unloading those plates soon, lol.

Had a bunch of Star Wars stuff...also sold (except for a few things here and there).

I love Mego playsets...but I just don't have the room for them.

I also had 4000 comics at one point...have sold most of them...but still have about four boxes left...all my high end stuff have been sold.

I think Mego (or Mego-Like, but it's all the same to me), is like that. With all the new ones coming out, I have to be selective.

I think a lot of people are obsessives when it comes to collecting, but I don't fall into that category. I have a lot of small collections, with no desire to hoard ALL of anything.

The only collection I had to finish was the Konami Wacky Racers, because a) there is a finite number of them (eleven), and b) well, ya just gotta have the whole set.

Even My Henchmen Think I'm Crazy.

That is of course until a toy company comes along and exands on the line that you have collected.

Didn't I read some where that Dr. Mego plans on adding to the Konami Wacky Racers line in the near future? J/K

            Nice collection.

Too much space. Need more toys!

Most lines I pick and choose. Exceptions have been the Retro Action heroes and Universal Monsters. Those have been too good to skip any character. That exception will ALSO be true for Six Million Dollar Man, Battlestar, and KISS. I'll be buying multiples on Six Mill.

I've pretty much done this with Star Wars recently. Too many repackaging ot new versions of the same character. The prices are getting nuts too. I generally become more selective in what I buy in other lines and don't try to be a completist.

With toys, No, But I was trying to collect every issue of Juxtapoz ("lowbrow" art magazine), and was buying issues long after I saw any artists that really excited me.
But, once I actually let a month pass by without getting an issue it became easier to just buy issues based on what was inside and not just to have something to fill in between X and Z.

Come to think about it. I stopped collecting Heavy Metal magazine several years ago because I simply had too many of them combined with the diminishing quality of the book and ever inflating prices.

Hotwheels. Back in 06, I tried to collect every car/color/variant that was offered in the year. It was an impossible quest.

I'm getting there with Monster High. I collected all the dolls in the first couple of series but after that they started to make way too much stuff. Now I just started to pick and choose some of the new characters and the Ghoulia variants I like.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

^^ agreed on MH. I am not a collector of the line, per se. But my daughter is loving them and we have a common point of interest when we are talking about toys. So, it is fun to pick them up. However, there are so many different figures and outfits in that line that we could not possibly keep up with all of them. I did a mental figure count the other day and I think I came up with something like 60 figures in the two years they have been selling them. WOW.
