good deal on DVD's from a Blockbuster closing down

I just went to the Blockbuster near me and since it's closing down I wanted to check out what they had....they had a ton of stuff left, all used DVD's and blu rays were $1.95 and the new stuff was 50% off, not bad...they even had loose dvds and Blurays with no artwork or cases for 5 for $7.50

    I got some sweet deals

Mine is also going, bought 9 blur ays for 70 bucks, they mis-typed the price for Fright Night since on the shelf it said $7 but the receipt said 7 cents.

There loss is your gain! I still haven't watched all of he flicks I picked up on the cheap from the local Movie Gallery that closed here a couple years ago. When the Blockbuster closed they never really offered any what I would call good deals like the ones you mentioned until the very last day and by then everything was picked over.

I didn't even know there were any Block busters stores left.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

the couple around here are closing, too. Haven't even bothered to go look.

I assume this is USA only as the Blockbuster store by us seems to be alive and well.

Im not surprised Blockbusters stores are done and its not just because of people downloding its because Dvd's are becoming worthless the way of the VHS super duper cheap to buy and no resale value whatsoever. Blu -Rays on the other are keeping more value but not by much either
