    VHS are worthless

DVD is going the same way

Blue - Ray will be just the same in a couple of years time.

The days of hard copy are doomed, it's just a matter of time before everybody can just stream anything they want into their tv.

Blu-Ray is a fad that will only last a few years, but as far as DVD, it will only last another 7-10 years. Physical items will be the thing of the future with everyone using things like Warner Bros. new Ultra Violet, where you buy the Blu-ray, but you can play it on your computer, tablet and phone without a disc. Also, laptops will not even last very long, laptops will be replaced by larger scale tablets.

Don't ask why I know this, my friend works for the Home Entertainment industry with Fox.

For the most part I agree. There are some titles that may bring more than others due to their rarity and short printings and or cover variations.

Then of course there will always be the hoarders/collectors buying up stuff on the cheap and stacking it some where they can find the room to put it. Other wise though the bulk of them are indeed on their way to next to being worthless.

DVD is getting pushed out of the way now by blu-ray, no way it will be around in 10 years.

I will be surprised if we see any DVD's a year from now. I just got back from Target and their DVD selection is almost gone. In the span of 6 months they went from two rows both sides, to half a row total.

I went by the only Blockbuster in my area and they are not closing yet. I can't imagine it will be there much longer.

yea i agree dvd's will not be around in a few years, but the way i see it is...that a digital download will still be at least $5-$10 or you can rip your dvd's like the ipod does with music now and your cd's

so at $2 a dvd which later on i'll be able to download from my dvd isn't a bad deal
