^ Big loss in viewership when "Comic Book Men" comes on...but then some viewers return for "The Talking Dead"...That should tell AMC something. "CBM" is not retaining the viewers who tune in for "The Walking Dead". When the show is over, they change the channel for an hour and then less than half of them return for the talk show.

        Toy Hunter is way better.

Comic Book Men is nothing but lame jokes, made up scenarios, and Kevin Smith suckfest.

Toy Hunter, while many situations are prepared beforehand, at least features a likeable host, and showcases toys more effectively, I can relate to it a lot more.

Sure it's all made up and staged like practically EVERY "reality" show out there, but I've been a Smith fan since "Clerks" first came out on video, so I just enjoy watching these knuckleheads talk about toys and comics. Glad to see it will have a second season. (god, between this, Toy Hunter and Collection Intervention, I can't believe I watch reality shows now! )

I DVR'd it, I like to speed through the "hi-jinx" and just see the stuff.

I was half asleep, but I think the Megos are toward the beginning.

I feel the exact opposite. I'm a major toy hut obviously, but I like Comic Book Men far better...and it's because their attitudes and joking around. They come off as grown men who are still into this stuff. Not grown men who want to stay little boys and can't handle off color humor. With Toy Hunter, everything has to be squeaky clean and innocent.

I like both of these shows, but don't like the staged stuff on Comic Book Men. For me that birthday party scenario was unwatchable.

That did seem like a new low for the show. I did enjoy seeing the MEGOs.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I enjoy the show and I have no love for Smith. There's some funny stuff buried in the nonsense.

I view them as obviously Grown Men who remain in a state of arrested development and act like dickish 14 year olds. I'll take squeaky clean Toy Hunter to the completely undeserved hubris of those guys. Smith's acting during those set ups is cringe worthy and I'm a fan of the guy.

I enjoy this show. Some of it may be staged but these guys seem to really like what they are doing and I always get a laugh or two out of it.

As far as Toy Hunter goes, I really enjoy that as well. It brings back fond memories seeing so many of those toys.

I like certain aspects of the show and others not so much. I thought the appraisal was fairly accurate and it seemed like they worked out a fair price for them.

Yeah, for the most part, they seem to offer OK for a retail shop.
