i actually have been fast forwaqrding through the last few episodes, only stopping when someone comes in to sell something. i know it is all staged anyway but i like seeing the cool stuff.
i did not realize that was the season finale for them, i actually deleted it from my list of shows to record because it is overall so lame

my understanding is that AMC is not picking this up, but that is, of course, subject to change LOLLeave a comment:

I have to admit, the emotionally manipulative setup and end reveal with Brian and his niece worked for me, even if the fake Walt fake out was painfully lame.
The No Barbies, even Superheroine Barbies policy shows exactly what the old school problem is with the Stash. Smart retailers are embracing female fandom, and you just see hordes of young women at conventions around the country with a ridiculous amount of disposable income to spend on nerd gear. This show just keeps playing to the stereotype over and over again. Hopefully they follow through on the press about trying to find a female employee to add that perspective, for the sake of their business and not just the show.
Once again they give a big shoutout to Megos on this show (in to the context of the Hasbro figures), and for that sake I still really want to like it still. Here's hoping that if it does come back they can retool it somehow to make it more like-able. They really need to focus on vintage stuff more than all the contemporary things we saw this week. bring in some Shogun Warriors, Micronauts, Captain Action, Vintage Joes, Turtles, whatever just to diversify a tiny bit. More movie memorabilia? Scifi gear? Animation art? Even if the Stash doesn't actually sell that stuff, it would make for better Television.Leave a comment:

So they close out the 6 episode season with everybody getting tattoos? Worst. Jump. The. Shark. EVER.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the heads up, watching a few now. Production values aren't quite up to the Comic Book Men level, but I do love the fact that collectibles are treated without any trace of irony. That kind of earnestness is quite refreshing compared to TV today.Does anyone remember the show "Personal FX" on the old FX network? The show's hosts would go across the country and visit various "super collectors" and host the show from their homes. Now THAT was cool to see.
Now all we have are "Comic Book Men" and "Hoarders" and neither one is really very appealing to me.

I enjoy looking at the items as well even if they are staged. I don't really like the show but as was already said; I've admittedly seen every episode.Leave a comment:
