Does he play hockey? Just kidding i do watch sportcenter. It amazes me he was cut without someone knowing the kid had it in him. It's a nice story right now, I hope he keeps it up.

he's good but he's in the spotlight right now because it's the Knicks..had it been someone like the Warriors he originally played for no one would've even noticed

I'm happy for him though, even though i despise the Knicks

Hell...if Lin played like this when he was with the Warriors...he'd be starting for them right now...and that's the point...

Golden State has some great loyal fans, they only cut the kid because they have Curry and Ellis and were hoping to get DeAndre.

It's been awhile since us Knick's fans have something to cheer about...give it to us, just this once

The kid is playing great. How many end of the bench, cut 2 times, and 1 week away from maybe being released by the Knick's can score 20+ and 7+ assets 5 games in a row? I am happy for him, great story.

It's a nice story, for sure. But, I feel like the end of the Linmania will be coming soon. Why? A couple reasons:

            1. Right now, he's successful because the ball keeps moving in the Knicks offense. Once Amare and/or Melo come back, that type of offense will be gone. Ball stops when it gets in either of those two's hands.

            2. There's not a lot of film available on this guy, so it's hard to game plan around him. The more film becomes available, the more (good defensive) teams will be able to identify and force him to do the things he doesn't excel at.

            3. Lack of practice time kind of goes hand-in-hand with #2. There isn't film, but even if there were, when do you practice your defense of him? Teams that have a day or two to practice before playing the Knicks should be able to put somewhat of a lid on him.

I haven't seen a ton of his floor time, but he's been fun to watch for sure. There's no way he keeps up this pace and I think that soon he comes back down to earth and starts to put up slightly better than Devin Harris-type numbers. I'm thinking 14 points and 6 assists on a consistent basis, but he's got to cut down on those TOs.

lin has an explosive first step. would definitely be interesting to see how he fares against other players since they are now made aware of his play.

nothing new with the warriors, they have a history of letting go people who later became key players on their respective teams! some are tim hardaway, mitch richmond, chris webber, gilbert arenas, j richardson, b davis, antawn jamison, sprewell, chris gatling, jeremy lin.

Tonight against Toronto proved #1 wrong. Will that change when Carmelo returns? Not sure.

Yeah, Melo is definitely more of a ball-stopper than Amare (who has proved in the past he can succeed in a pick and roll game with Nash, and has shown that same willingness to be a 2nd fiddle). Melo prefers isolation, but that may have been because in the past he rarely worked with a PG who could get him the ball when he was in position to score.

With that being said, I don't think you can discount my first point based on one game. I'm curious to see how my theory holds up after a couple games with Melo.

I hope the three of them can gel. I would think that Melo has realized that he and Amare can't win a title by themselves. Not even close.
