It really bothers me more that it's Eli. It's tough to complain about losing when your team has been to half the Super Bowls in the past 10 years. Especially when we've also had titles in every major sport in the same time period. But I've hated Eli since the day he was drafted. Way before any Super Bowls. I'm no Colts fan but I can respect Peyton for his abilities and attitude. The same way I'm no Yankees fan but love the way Jeter plays the game and carries himself. I just think Eli's a ******bag, plain and simple. From the way he acted on draft day right through today he just doesn't have the attitude to garner the respect his brother gets. I still don't think he'll ever be looked at as the better Manning even with more rings. Even the odds makers show no respect to Eli. How were the Pats favorites when they had one of the worst yards against defenses in the NFL against a team that had the Saints, Packers, and 49'ers in their division. Even in Boston where we take our sports pretty seriously we had people questioning how it happened. It kills me to think he's spoken about in the same sentence with QB's like Peyton, Rodgers, Brees, and Brady. It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment

Perhaps the 2 super bowl rings he has in his ears block the doubters and haters.
Dude i am a total Boston fan except for the Bruins, i have been as hard on Eli as anyone but you don't win 2 SuperBowls by being a chumpComment

Congrats Giants fans. It was a tough loss for me, but Brady had his chances and didn't deliver. The Giants took advantage of their opportunities and won. It's just that simple. I'm thankful there were no controversial calls at the end, and the officials essentially stayed out it. It was a clean game and a very competitive one. It lived up to it's billing.Comment

I was hoping for the first 0-0 tie in SB history. Needless to say, I didn't get my wish. I was only half paying attention to the game while typing some articles for my poker blog and answering questions from my wife like "how many points is a field goal worth?" and "what's a safety" and "why didn't that count, he got his foot on the green part". When I was paying attention to the game, it was entertaining. However, it's hard to care when you hate both teams. And this was the first year we didn't have a big party, so I couldn't keep busy making wings for everyone. Yeah, well. Give me fantasy football any day over the real thing. At least till my team gets its head out of its butt and starts to take things seriously. Here's to next season.Comment

Had the score gone the other way, I would have been sad- but still admitted no matter the outcome- that was a really good game.
I like Eli Manning- but I have to echo what someone else said about him never getting the respect of some of the other top qbacks- maybe it's because he still looks like he's about 16. But, it's hard to argue against 2 championship rings- 9-7 regular season means nothing if you can go 4-0 in the playoffs!! The same as 13-3 is meaningless if you are 0-1 in the playoffs.
As to the draft day shenanigans that sent him to NY instead of San Diego- I don't know who was behind that besides maybe Archie Manning- looks like that has paid off though. I don't know if any qb elite or not could rescue that sinking ship in San Diego!!Comment
