That was the most unenjoyable 2nd, 3rd and mostly 4th quarter of football I've ever watched and then some how some way ELI pulls it out making it one of the most enjoyable football games I've ever watched. The highs and lows of being a fan are killer but when your team wins it's sooooo worth it!
"Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."
I already hate to see tomorrows paper,I live where Bradshaw is from.I'm sure it will say he won the superbowl for them!!!!!!
I guess in the end he really did, just hope they remember the rest of the team helped.
yea but I bet Brady remembers losing twice to Eli more then winning those 3 , people don't even remember which 3 teams he beat but they remember that Eli beat him twice
Well sure Brady's got 3 rings and you can't take that away but he's got two loses in the Super Bowl and BOTH of them against the Giants and you certainly can't discount that either.
Here's the thing with this game...if Brady won, he's in Joe Montana territory even with the one loss four years ago. Now he's in John Elway territory...still good but not the best. For Eli if he lost he would have been 1-1 and then there's the talk that maybe 07 was a fluke and the Pats got revenge but now he's 2-0, the Super Bowl MVP twice and he (and Coughlin) are going to the Hall of Fame regardless of what happens in the future. Not to mention he's also just become the greatest Quarterback in New York history....bigger than Simms and even bigger than Namath. So this game was a tale of two legacies going in different directions.
^^^ ahhhh ..., But Elway Went out on Top. And when He won his 2 SB's ...., He then retired, and was the Best of the Best when he left. imo. He didn't "pass the torch" so to speak.
