I don't have a Lazer Disk. I have a VCD Player that works kinda ok. Wish it worked perfect. I have over 150 VCD movies.

Still have my original LD Player from 1987 and I bought a second LD Player on Ebay that is the Pioneer Elite...it plays LD's and DVD's. Still use the player. Lots of stuff that is on LD still hasn't been released on DVD. It's also better quality than a DVD. It's a matter of looking at it like this...DVD is just a compressed version of an LD. I think the Looney Tunes DVD sets that are out now are edited. The LD sets have none of the politically incorrect stuff edited out. I think the Tom and Jerry DVD's have voice overs of the Aunt Jemima character in one of the episodes. And I've heard that it is either not on the new Tom and Jerry DVD's or it has been edited...the Jerry Mouse "Is You Is or Is U You Aint's My Baby" episode. The DVD Star Wars Trilogy is right off of the LD Black Box set with the Hardcover Book that's already been mentioned in this thread. Paul McCartney and Wings Rockshow, on LD...but not on DVD. Let It Be on LD...not on DVD....there are a whole bunch of LD's that have not been released on DVD. One of the reasons I still have mine.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
        The beauty that surrounds them
        Isn't it a pity".

Me too, I still have it hooked up. I was really close to buying a new player in the mid 90's, but then I heard about DVDs coming soon, so I waited. But I got a deal on a used player a few years after DVD debuted. I love obsolete technologies.

Laser Discs were amazing for movie fans...

Back then, in the limbo years between VHS and DVD, having stuff like deleted scenes, director's commentaries, making of featurettes, etc. was a dream come true.

Many of the director's commentaries that appeared on early DVDs of movies were simply the old Laser Disc commentaries 'ported over.

And there's still a lot of cool stuff that appeared on LD editions of movies that has yet to be included on DVD or Blu ray versions.
