Academy Award nominees for Visual effects

The people I know who liked "Moneyball" weren't into baseball that much. I'm not much of a fan either, but I still haven't seen it yet.

I gather from the buzz and from the Globes, the Best Picture winner is just really be between "The Artist" and "The Descendants". I haven't seen those yet either.

Pretty standard in the supporting role category. They love when normally dramatic actors are in a comedy, or normally comedic actors are in a drama. I have no idea why - but look through the history of the Oscars - that really gets them going for some reason.

The bias against comedians IN comedies is insane to me.

Wiig's performance in "Bridesmaids" was fantastic and hilarious - but she lost the Best Female Performer in a Comedy or Musical Golden Globe to Michelle Williams for "My Week With Marilyn". How was that movie even in that category? It doesn't look like a comedy or musical.
