The funny thing is that if you have javascript turned off, the English wikipedia works just fine today, it isn't really "gone". I use the "NoScript" Firefox add-on all the time, so when out of curiosity I tried to use Wikipedia today, I was momentarily confused that I had no problems browsing their site at all.
