I read somewhere that the actual Dick Tracy run time was about two and a half hours long and much darker than what Disney put out. Supposedly Beatty is going to release a "Director's Cut" when the Blu-ray comes out... Logans Run is totally over due too...As for the Never Ending Story, Del Toro would be the perfect choice to direct that. Anyone ever read the Michael Ende book? The original movie ends in the middle of the novel. After Bastian defeats The Nothing, he becomes a god in Fantasia and becomes a tyrant. Atreyu has to save Fantasia from Bastian. Its actually pretty good read. I think the Never Ending Story II tried to cover this but the book takes on a much more ominous tone where the films didn't really go.....

I also would like a MOTU movie based on the original essence of the He-Man character as seen in the minicomics... pre-Filmation, pre-DC comics.Would be cool if it got its inspiration from the early minicomics and stays away from the filmation cartoon and more recent one. (nothing against them, i just want it to go in a different direction.)
No Prince Adam alter-ego, etc.
And a new version of Flash Gordon could be amazing. To truly do justice to Flash, they'd need a decent budget, and a director who knows and loves the original source material.
No more low budget, low concept swill like that SyFy abomination.

I'd like to see Logan's Run re-dux. But I'd like to read the original story before hand.
I actually like Lost in Space. I mean compared to the original show...
He-Man??? Cant find a reason to re-do that?!?
I liked Flash Gordon too. Mostly for design reasons and the Soundtrack.
Also think the Black Hole is perfect the way it is.
If your gonna redo something, redo something that deserves a wider audience than it originaly had. Give it the budget and wide release it should have, deserves to have.

We had a sci fi programme called sapphire and steel here in the uk. The concept of the tv programme was brilliant....supernatural type programme.
That along with
SPACE 1999
U.F.O
A proper planet of the apes based on the original characters and suit designs etc.
And tim burton not to touch another classic as long as he lives....I hate that bloke.Comment
