Jacksonville should give the Pats a pretty tough game. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I do wonder if the game would have turned out differently if Sean Taylor had been playing. He was the defensive player on the team if not the best player on the team.
All of the local papers are talking about the spooky coincidence of the Redskins beating Dallas by 21 points to make it into the playoffs and then losing to the Seahawks by 21 points (Sean Taylor's number in case it wasn't obvious)."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

The Skins fell apart as usual. They had the Seahawks against the wall and after missing an easy field goal, completely fell apart.

OK heres my observation. I here people everyday say Brady is the very best of all time.????
I think thats nonsense. I mean really could he have done this in the 70"s.
Could randy Moss blow off Mel Blunt before the Mel Blunt rule was put into place.
I think not. The game was a very different game when Terry Bradshaw and other GREAT QB'S OF THE PAST played it .
To compare Brady to these past Qb's is ridiculous. First off Brady has more games to play witch gives him more time to break records. Secondly if he went up against the Steel curtain in the past he would already be crushed and out of the game due to injury. But we all know QB's ARE NOW OFF LIMITS TO DEFENDERS PUNISHMENT. Remember QB's of old played within the old rules of Punishment. When QB's had to be men and take a big hit and get back up and play some more. Not for millions not for glory, not to be in vogue mag...lol thats funny in its self. But they played the game when it was played by men not cry babies Ben included. It cracks me up to see guys like the Tuna and Cower to be bad mouthed ,they are too hard core, they are to intense, they make the players mad...they don't understand them... Its Bunch of nonsense. The players have been pampered to the point it just silly. Then to compare them to real men of the past is just flatt out funny. I grew up a Pittsburgh fan and I know Brady could not have played in the 70's and racked up those kind of numbers. Can you see him getting creamed by Jack Lambert or Ronnie lot and a whole host of other nasty players that would have came calling for his head. Brady would have grabbed his skirt and ran off the field if not carried off on a stretcher. How many people here have seen him lose his mind if he gets sacked alot. Be honest you seen him lose it because of sacks in the past. Please people don't fool yourself. He is good but hardly the best of all time. As for their cheating if they didn't need to cheat then why did they??? I'll tell ya why,,they were a good team that needed that little extra something they could not find on the bench nor play book and it was called cheating to get them over the hump. And if not why cheat at all , if you truly are the very best Football team of all time. Remember hard hitting and nasty tackles isn't cheating until lately, in a game played by pampered players.
I love the Steelers but I know Ben is A cry Baby. Is He a good QB most of the time. Is he being Pampered by a coach that has no kahunas yep he is. Bring us back a old school coach and old school players. I'm growing tired of watching cry babies take over a mans game. Its sad ...remeber bad calls by dumb refs isn't cheating its just stupid.
And before its said I'll post this:

wow CM that's some good stuff right there man,I totally agree.I don't understand why you could pop the hell out of a RB but if you even look at a QB funny you get flagged,I would've loved for someone like Bill Romanowski to have gotten a shot at Brady this year"Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

"Slingin" Sammy Baugh was an incredible quarterback from the 1930's. I haven't checked his stats but he couldn't have weighed more than 175 lbs but some of those players were still well into the 200 lb range even back then (and not fat either). I have seen some old video clips of him and he could really throw the ball, run the ball, punt the ball (he was the punter), and played defense too. Plus they had no face masks and he looks like he had a continous broken nose throughout his playing days.
I know it's a different game today but he was one tough cookie."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

That doesn't surprise me. Believe me, he was the one who called it quits and not the other way around.
I could tell from interviews that he was completely beaten down after this season. He's a workaholic, typically working 18 hour days and I'm sure that has taken a toll on him in addition to the Sean Taylor murder plus he literally beat himself up over "the mistake" of calling back to back timeouts in an attempt to ice the Bills kicker which probably cost them the game.
Most everyone knew he came back to try to jumpstart the organization again and then hand it over.
My guess is that Greg Williams will take over as Head Coach. They didn't bring him in and pay him a fortune just to be an Assistant Coach forever."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

Hey Captain Mego. Well, being a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan I would love to see some other examples of the 70's but I certainly respect your position. I also 100% agree with your thoughts about ALL QB's today. Look at the shots Staubach and Bradshaw took when those two teams played each other? Both QB's walked off the field after each of those pops. It's hits like that which make you respect those games because you had warriors in those games. Not fluff male models worried about their next commercial and complaining when they get pushed down. There is NO WAY any of today's QB's could remotely handle the kind of punishment the Steel Curtain and Doomsday delivered in the classic era of football!Comment
