Yeah, so many of the Colts fans I know went out of their way to "Thank" me when they signed Vinateri to a whopping contract. Not so many replied when I sent a big "You're Welcome" after he tanked that 29 yard chip shot to win a game during the season. So a New Englander won the PP&K too. I'm not surprised. New England sports rule!! They're talking about it on the Boston Sports Radio shows. People are calling in and asking the team to bring her in this week and introduce her at halftime. Instead of booing her they should have signed her to a contract. Maybe she could have helped in the second half. It's funny how people change their opinion of you when you're at the top. They should have let that cameraman keep filming in that first game cuz since they got rid of him the Pats haven't lost. Looks like it affected the rest of the league a lot more than the Pats. HMMMMM!!!! Makes ya wonder why so many other coaches were PO'd at Mangini for what he did. Seems to have affected the rest of the league quite a bit. Temp is supposed to reach a high of 12 degrees next Sunday in Foxboro. Just a tad cooler than San Diego. Better bring your hat and mittens. Loved it when one of the Charger players was walking off the field and looks right into the camera and says "New England better watch out next week". Nothing better than having some motivation thrown at ya. That will be posted on every wall in the Pats locker room. 17-0 and still no respect. I love it!

I'm not so sure it was that the Chargers won as the Colts lost. A fumble and 2 intersections in the red zone certainly didn't help the Colts cause. But it's the 17th game of the year and you're making pre-season mistakes. You can't expect to win doing that. But the Bolts came to play. And the backups for Rivers and LT did a nice job and didn't do anything stupid. I just don't think the Chargers will get past the Pats.

As for the Gaints/Cowboys I was thrilled that the Giants won. Eli played a great game and didn't force anything and had no interceptions again. He plays like that against the Packers and they might have a chance.

My Redskins finished on a high note for next year by at least making the playoffs. I'm sorry to see Gibbs leave though. He will be tough to replace.

^^^^ Scott - mistakes were made on both sides of the ball.

Colts were ahead 24-21 and the Chargers came down the field with a backup QB and a backup RB and scored the winning TD. They then stopped the Colts offense twice. Colts didn't lose this...Chargers won it plain and simple. They wanted it more.

Now when they played during the regular season in SD, the Colts lost that game by missing the game-winning chip-shot field goal

^^^ Yeah, the Back-up QB, & Back-up Running Back factor, & them still driving for a TD, was most impressive. The Have a bunch of Heart & want to win. Congrats to them.

Evel when you call people classless your going to get people jumping all over you. That statement makes you came a cross as an *****. And knowing you from other posts I know your not.

I think Football fans can be a bit rough. Baseball fans seem to be better to each other, other than redsox yankees they do hate each other.

Ya, I admit it, I hate the Yankees with a passion. No other team elicits a response of utter distain to me than the Yankees. Now that we are the champs the feeling has been relieved just a bit. I don't think any other sport has fans soo passionately against each other.

I would say the Skins-Cowboys rivalry is pretty ugly.

When those two play, you can pretty much throw away any spread regardless of how bad or good the Redskins/Cowboys are in any particular year. I don't remember what year it was but I believe it was maybe Troy Aikmen's first season. The Cowboys were terrible and only had one win the entire season....and that win was against none other than the Redskins who was having a fantastic season....they might have even won the Super Bowl that year.

When the Redskins-Cowboys play, that's all they talk about on the local sports channels. Apparently, the rivalry started back in the early 70's and throughout the 70's until the early 90's both teams experienced quite a bit of success so when the two played, a lot of times it seemed like the winner was heading to the Super Bowl. Over the last decade, the Cowboys have definitely been the better of the two teams but they have split the past two years and although on paper, the Cowboys have the better of the two teams, it's still one of those grudge games, year in and year out.

Just found out the high temp should be 15 deg on Sunday. The pats havn't done as good in the cold, but the chargers are used to warmer weather. We'll see if it plays a factor.

I've decided to no longer comment on sports on these forums. I don't want to burn any Mego friendships over stupid sports opinions. Going back and reading my posts "classless" was too strong, and not really the wording I was looking for, it just came out that way. Sometimes I get too riled up if my team does poorly, it's not worth the stress!

Now that my Colts are gone it's all meaningless.

Naw, just kidding. It was a tough blow but I gotta give San Diego credit. Even with LT and Rivers leaving the game early, they still kicked some serious butt.

Looking forward to the 20th. Should be interesting.

Very happy for Brett Favre btw. What a year he's having.
