"Indy fans are always good sports."
Spoken like a fan of a loosing team.

Give it a few years it will change.
70s Bruines where great - have sucked since
80s Celtics where great - have sucked till now
    90s they all sucked
2000 till now Pats Redsox and now Celtics all at once. One is to make up for the 90s one for now and they will probibly all suck in 10s to make up for now.

Ouch Evil, that hurts.. I just think when the shoe is on the other foot the other side gets resentful. Let me and my Sox bask in the sun for a little while. We have toiling in the mud for soo long it feels good. Now that the Red Sox have put a couple of World Series under their belts I can die a happy man. Now more "wait till next year" for us.

Yeah, it's amazing how cocky and classless Boston fans are now. After years of being the loveable losers, they win a few and now they've become like the Yankee fans they've despised for so long. Win or lose, Indy fans are always good sports.

    Stealing from Dennis Miller...

Red Sox are the World Series champions.
The Celtics are in 1st place.
The Patriots are 17-0 and are going to the AFC championship.

The last time Boston got this cocky, King George III sent troops across the pond.

As a die hard Red Sox fan all I can say is "It's about time"! I suffered through the 70's and 90's getting beat out by the Yankees and had my world series win ripped out from under me in 86" by Bill Buckner. I could care less for the Patriots but I know my Sox are deserving. A lot of people here have beaten up on the Patriots because their own teams are in decline. I congratulate their success even though they are not my team. I probably have to wait another 20 years to see my Vikings make the big game. I guess the evil empires (franchises) of New york, Green Bay, Dallas, and Pittsburgh have to wait a few more years with great New England teams like Boston and New England. Like I said earlier, It's about time!!

Bill Cower is a class act and someone I would love to have take over the reins in Washington. Money is never an issue with Snyder. He'll pay whatever it takes to get what he wants.

With that said, I still think Gregg Williams will get the nod. He's done a great job in Washington as the Defensive Coordinator and is a seasoned head coach. He is well liked by players and fans.

It sounds like there are 4 people being seriously considered for the job: Gregg Williams, Bill Cower, Al Saunders, and Russ Grimm.

From a fan standpoint, everyone wants Williams to get the job. He has been with the Redskins as Gibbs assistant for 4 years and he has never complained and turned the Redskins defense into one of the best in the league. Bill Cower is the #2 choice but I don't think any fans want to lose Williams if Cower is offered the job. Saunders and Grimm are a long shot.

We'll see how things play out. Most true Washington fans are very loyal to players and coaches. Everyone wanted Gibbs to stay even though his 4 year record was not exceptional. When superstars are traded from other teams, it takes a few years for fans to warm up to them. Antwaan Randle-El still hasn't quite made his mark in the minds and hearts of the major fan base and neither has Santana Moss or even Clinton Portis.

Chris Cooley is the most liked Redskins player because it is the only team he has played for. Sean Taylor was also well liked for the same reason.

We have a fickle fan base and don't embrace superstars immediately when they are picked up through a trade or as free agents.

I have to agree with ya Bk. Me and the wife are pretty bummed about loseing so many good players over the years to money. But loseing Cower and Joey took the cake. I honestly think our team will go into the dumps now and never return to being the steelers agin. They might have the same uniforms but they will not be the steelers I know and love. Ill never understand why they have done this to the team. Not offering Cower more money was crazy and insulting,,now Fannica is leveing as well...Im guessing Hieze will leve us soon and I dont blame him. Win or lose it was always great to know at least we will be the same team year in and out. You might think Im crazy for saying this but I hate Big Ben after his public bashing of Cower and Coach Ken . It almost made me happy to see him blow the play off game. I was really hopeing he might get his head cracked but theres always next year. I would rather lose all the games with a guy that has class than a jerk that shoots his mouth off about a coach that took him to the superbowl. I really feel hes not the kind of player that deserves to be a steeler. Hes low class in my book. Cower would never ahve put up with him bashing any one. Remeber the game when Miran Bell knocked out a recever and danced over his body. Cower took a time out and stoped the game and made him go across the feild and apologise for his actions. Thats the kinda of coach I like. I never seen nor herd our new coach repremand Ben for his public bashing. Just shows the new coach has no class for letting it go on and on this year. I was willing to give him a chance till he let that go on. I was really hopeing we would get Marty for a coach or the Tuna but it aint gona happen. The steelers will now become the bengals and aparently act like them to.

A man in Topeka, Kansas decided to write a book about Churches around
the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working
    east from there.

Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making
notes. He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was
intrigued with a sign, which read 'Calls: $10,000 a minute.'

Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor
answered that this golden phone is , in fact, a direct line to heaven
and if he pays the price he can talk directly to God.

The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to
visit churches in Seattle, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and
around the United States, he found more phones, with the same sign, and
the same answer from each pastor.

Finally, he arrived in Massachusetts. Upon entering a church in Boston,
MA. Behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But this time, the sign
    read
    "Calls: 35 cents."

Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, "Reverend, I have been in
cities all across the country and in each church I have found this
golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and
that I could talk to God, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000
a minute. Your sign reads only 35 cents a call. Why?"

The pastor, smiling benignly, replied, "Son, you're in Boston,
Massachusetts now, home of the Boston Red Sox , the New England
    Patriots and the Celtics.

    You're in God's Country; It's a local call."
