They are dicks about paying, I know this first hand. If they pay on time (30 days) they deduct a percentage from their order. But like your neighbor, the company I worked for did so much business with them that you just take their terms and deal with it.

Here's something I'll share about WW that you'll all find quite amusing; I live in a pretty affluent beach area of Orange County. The nearest Walmart is a bit of a drive, but I'm there at least twice a week. When neighbors or even people I work with at the studio, see the Walmart bags, they chuckle and ask why I shop there, calling it "ghetto". Oh---you go to "Whole Paycheck", too? "Great Food at High Prices!" I love their stuff, but I can't afford to shop there much.

I do frequent Wallyworld (there's one that's less a mile from my house and their prices are lower than anyone else's in the area), Target, Meijer, Kroger, Big Lots, Lowe's and Home Depot....

It's not my everyday supermarket...I go to Safeway, Lucky's, Farmer's Joes, and Trader Joe's more often...but Whole Food is awesome...when I need high quality imported cheeses, imported beers, top notch organic fruits and vegetables, and aged ribeye steaks for example...that's the store I love the most...and their prepared foods are great as well...yes...pricey...but once or twice a month is not going to kill me...lol.

You don't have to spend an arm and a leg for lunch there either...you can get two slices of their awesome in house pizza for $5...plus one dollar for a soda...and you are good to go...lol.

BTW...the Oakland Whole Foods is the third largest in the country.

My husband and I farm fruit. At our regional growers meeting last spring, we discovered first hand what Wal-mart is like. A fruit and produce buyer from Wal-Mart was at the meeting. He stated that Wal-Mart WOULD be buying all our fruit at 20% below OUR growing cost. The director of our co-op explained that he could not sell at a loss to the growers since this was the only income for most of us. To which the Wal-Mart buyer replied, "$%&* the farmers! We are the world's largest retailer and we will pay what we want!". Such an awesome corporate culture!

P.S. Wal-Mart didn't get an ounce of our fruit. If you want to try my fruit, check out Costco, where it is sold fresh or Gerber where it becomes baby food.

Yeah, I hear that dealing with Wal-Mart sucks business wise, It is their way or the highway when it comes to telling you what they are going to pay for your merchandise. That's what happens when companies get too big. They tend to forget about the little people that got them where they are to begin with.

Makes perfect sense. Rest assured I won't give Bang Toys Mall a dime. If you can't understand how to stay on topic in this thread, you probably run your business worse than the businesses that actually are being discussed.
