As the holiday season kicks up and we get more and more commercials I was thinking back to a time when television created a kind of common language for many of us. You may not have even seen the commercial, but you knew what people meant when they asked, "Where's the beef?"
So what classic commercials from the your childhood do you remember people talking about, quoting or even satirizing as much as you remember the commercial itself.
Immediately I think of-
"In Japan, the hand can be used like a knife"

OR, "Hey good lookin'. Be back to pick you up later."
