My mom used to let us break out the Christmas albums after Halloween. She couldn't hold us off any longer.

This year I have tried to avoid listening TOO early just so I really get in the groove during the actual season. I haven't had it on the all-Christmas radio station, which switched over the weekend after Halloween this year. But this weekend it's starting to feel right, so I'll probably jump whole-hog into it. And of course Black Friday is Clark Griswold day, when me and Russ...er...I mean Andrew deck the halls and kill our Electric bill.

It's abit early for me,don't get me wrong i am not Scrooge but we have just had Guy Fawkes night November the 5th lots of fireworks let off, have been getting the Christmas gifts,i started that in September,so sort of in the spirit,we have an advent calender out on the 1st of December,so slowly building up for Christmas day,the tree and lights go up around 12 days before the big day. (superstitions i guess, with the 12 days of Christmas).I have always been like this, tree comes down 12 days after too.

It's tradition, Dave. When I was a kid, my dad was a cheapskate. He waited until Xmas Eve to get the tree, and would usually get a 6-footer for like $2. My mom hated this, as did the rest of my family. But to me, it just made Xmas Eve that much more magical. As an adult, it just seems wrong to put it up any sooner. And I don't like decorations up too long. They lose their specialness that way. (for me, anyhow)

That's sweet, and what it's all about Sherry... I guess my girls will always think it's tradition to go all out early for Christmas

That's crazy...I love Christmas music...how can you love Christmas and hate the music...that's part of Christmas...it's pure nostalgia...it takes me back in time to the days of me being a kid with grandparents who were still alive...singing those old classic Christmas songs...also from classic shows like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman...I love it...not having Christmas songs to me is like not having Christmas at all...I might as well no celebrate it.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Honestly! I've actually started decorating early and listening to Christmas music now. With all the crap going on (Occupy Wall Street, garbage politics, etc) it is nice to have something that actually puts a smile on peoples face including mine.

My wife fires up the Christmas tunes starting on Halloween. She has me set the tree up on Thanksgiving..I think she is crazy, but she says she is making up for not having christmas as a child,(Jewish). She had her first Christmas 20 years ago when we were married..

My wife could listen to Christmas music all year. Give me some Amy Grant - Tennessee Christmas any day! After that I prefer Bob River's Twisted Christmas tunes.

I say why not? TBS has already aired Grinch and Fred Claus and USA has been airing Elf alot. So go ahead and listen to Christmas music too.
