Christmas Music... too soon for you?

What say you? Is it too early for you to fire up the yule tide tunes? It's not for me (streaming them as I type), but I know peeps are diferent. Some folks have a strick none until after Thanksgiving policy... for me it's Mid November-ish. How 'bout you?

I'm one of those after Thanksgiving ones as well. I blame my mother. She hated rushing the season, and would never let me play my Christmas records until the day after Thanksgiving. As a side note, did you know that the Hallmark channel started showing Christmas specials the day after Halloween? Sheeeesh!

      Same here.

My mom used to say it was bad luck to listen to Christmas music too early or after the Holiday.

I know it's BS, but stuff like that does stick in the back of the mind when you hear it as a kid.

Santa arrives at the end of the Thanksgiving parades. No Christmas music before that for me.

I do get a little irked when Halloween stuff at stores gets pushed aside in the middle of October for Christmas stuff. I don't want to hear Jingle Bells before Halloween. But by November I totally fine with it.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

MY MAN! Same here on the tree... as well as the outside lights, I am just praying for a nice day on Saturday to do it.

...and I hear what folks are saying about Thanksgiving and Halloween. I like Halloween too, and I wouldn't want to push past it nor skip Thanksgiving either it's great... But I need more than 30 days of the Christmas spirit! Call me needy!

Thanksgiving is like a warm up and I do appreciate it, I guess I don't see it as crowding by firing up the tunes...

                  Count me a Christmas Freak!

My holiday mix is in rotation. One of my neighbors gave me crap for firing up my lights the day after Thanksgiving last year. He's dead to me.

Someone in our neighborhood already has their Christmas lights going.

I have a Chirstmas CD in my car that I have been playing since before Halloween. Just spurts here and there. I know with so many things to get done between now and Christmas; I don't know how much time I'll really be able to spend enjoying it.

Not too early for me. I've already got them on my mp3 player, and I dug out my CDs as well. Watched some Christmas movies already too. I'm a thankful guy, but Thanksgiving is just not a holiday I celebrate, except for the "family gathering/being thankful" part. The food does nothing for me. The tree is going up tonight.
