Books on CD - the Flavia de Luce mystery series by Alan Bradley. In 1950's England, an 11 year old girl (a self-taught chemist/poison expert) turns amateur detective. It's entertaining stuff, and the reader for the CDs is excellent.

The Adventure of The Sanguinary Count: Sherlock Holmes vs. Dracula and Christmas Carol the last two weeks.
I've got a book called Santa Claus A Biography and the Complete Works of Washington Irving by my reading chair, but haven't cracked either.
If anyone has any suggestions for Christmas-themed fiction that's worth reading, I'd appreciate it.Comment

Den Koontz's Frankenstein series. Great books. Koontz weaves a story where Mary Shelley's story was based on real events. The "monster" is actually a hero and Victor Frankenstein is as evil as you can get. He furthers his works under the Hitler regime and goes on to get help from Stalin, Mao Tse Tung and others. I am reading them on my iPad.Comment
