Thundarr the Barbarian is one of my all time favourite Saturday morning cartoons. Watched it every week without fail.
Watched some episodes again on YouTube a while ago, and it's still awesome!

It still holds up for an old saturday morning cartoon. First off, you will notice that Ookla looks way to much like a wookie. Its a little more violent than heman was to. Some pretty good design work on the villians.

I dont remember much merchandise. I think there was a lunch box....but cant think of much eles. Probably had more than blackstar though.

            Hmmmm....

Best. Saturday. Morning. Cartoon. EVER!!!! Unlike a lot of shows from the time, they didn't skimp on the action. Or weird. When I was a kid I'd watch obsessively, making notes on all the monsters.

I was about 13 or 14 when this was on. It was OK, but never one of my faves. I tried watching it again when someone had it on YouTube. Again, it was just OK.
