Personally,I wouldn't have gotten out of the car, I have to much to loose over an idiotic street fight to potentially get hurt or thrown in jail for assault. Job, family, house, etc.

Well, that's the difference between a guy like me and a guy like you, Joe. I guess I don't have that much to lose and I've never been afraid to get hurt in a fight... Job or no job, family or no family. Personally, I'm much more concerned with losing my self respect or my manhood...

Secondly; Idiotic street fight? The guy was pounding the crap out of my car and when I exited said car, he takes a swing at me. I defend myself and that's idiotic to you?

Naw I get what t-bolt is saying and of course to most the right thing to do is you just walk away...but my thing is, that if the guy's already ****ed off and he's already acting like that, if he wanted to kill you he's gonna kill you...I guess I'm just like sandy in this instance...I've never backed out of a fight or someone trying me( I know I should) and I have calmed down since I had my kids , and I never look for trouble but for some reason it always comes looking for me

I wasn't there so I'm not going to judge. Depending on the situation, I would have done the same (but without the fish ice and calling the police).

I've just seen too many people hurt too much for reasons that don't matter in the big picture. Made me slower to get my blood up. And I've helped clean up too many legal messes for people and seen the aftermath if Sandy (or someone in his situation) were to get sued.

Today that guy is still an dick; just a dick with a broken nose.

I've not met Sandy in person (sounds like he wouldn't have to worry about the situation much), but mainly I'm glad he wasn't hurt or arrested.
