I love the original and never get sick of watching it.
As for the prequel, I'm looking forward to seeing it even though I already know the ending.

Didn't care for the original as well. Too pop mainstream for me.

if it gets decent reviews when it come out, ill give it a few weeks, see its box office #'s and if they are all stable, it might just be the movie ill see when I miss the time for something else

I was 13 when it came out and it was a battle at the box office between that and Flashdance. I went with Flashdance all the way because of the break dance element and popping!

Every generation has their rendition of this tale. This current one pretty much sums up the general interest of the current gen folks.

I'll take Ricard Lester's 1973 rendition any day.
